Hey I sure that would make some around here real happy. Dallas lost a game last week we are still in 1st and still control our own. SD is a good team they are not unbeatable nor are the Saints, Wash or philly.

Not any Cowboys fans, I can assure you that.

Anytime someone starts a thread saying "I hate to be negative" I find that it is bull****.

Especially this guy since he has done it more than once.

Do you see anything to be positive about if we lose again on Sunday? LOL Try reading my threads you seem to like following them. :D How optimistic are you going to be about the Saints game if the Cowboys lose on Sunday? The following week against Washington isn't going to be any cake walk either and we all know Philly will be at the top of their game in the season finale. If a person doesn't come on here talking positive all the time the homers cry a river. :cry2:

The way I see it he was only right about 1 of them.

I know you already said it was picky about the wording but it's because the fact that you're saying he's right because something hasn't happened yet is...well...weird.

So if I say "The Chargers will never win a Superbowl with Phillip Rivers at QB." I guess I'm right.

If that's the case then I can just say every single team out there won't win with so and so at QB and I'll be right 31 times out of 32 every single season for the rest of my life.

That's AWESOME! What a way to be right. That's brilliant.

His claim is that they will NEVER win one with Romo. It wasn't that they wouldn't win one in 07. Or they wouldn't win one in 08. If he'd said that then he'd have been right.

To say they'll never win one with him he can't be right until the career is over. Otherwise I can be right about 98% or better of the time simply by picking something that's got great odds in my favor.

But, yeah, I guess he's right cause he went WAY OUT on a limb to say that we wouldn't win with Romo at QB.

Well, just so I can be right for a long while, I'll add a few more too it.

The Patriots will never win another Superbowl with Tom Brady at QB.

The Colts will never win another Superbowl with Peyton Manning at QB.

Donovan McNabb will never win a Superbowl.

Patrick Willis will never win a superbowl.

Matt Ryan will never win a Superbowl.

Joe Flacco will never win a Superbowl.

Drew Brees will never win a Superbowl.

Phillip Rivers will never win a Superbowl.

Chad Henne will never win a Superbowl.

Matt Shaub will never win a Superbowl.

Brett Favre will never win another Superbowl.

Kurt Warner will never win another Superbowl.

Big Ben will never win another Superbowl.

And of course I could go on and on with every other QB in the league, every runningback, every WR, and all the other positions and man oh man would my success rate at being right be absolutely through the roof!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
tl/dr

"so far he's been right since we haven't even come close to a Superbowl".
Good grief Rampage. So if I were to say that the offense, defense, special teams and coaching are ALL doing a superb job right now and have the team 100% on track for making the playoffs so far, you would agree with me, yes? No ifs ands or buts?

Just the Trolls.

So you consider a fan giving an honest unbiased opinion about their team a troll?  I'm a "realist" and apparently you're a homer. Maybe you can send me a pair of rose colored glasses for Christmas so I can see things from your perspective. :shades:

I hate being negative but this looks like the same exact team we saw last season. So much for TO being the problem with this team it's losing big games every December that creates all the frustration and bad chemistry. Just like after the loss to Pittsburgh last December another big stir up occurred by a member of the media as a result of yet another big December game loss. If the Cowboys don't beat the Chargers on Sunday they'll be staggering in full meltdown mode and may end up missing the playoffs all together. They're tied with Philly for the division lead and are only one game ahead of the Giants who'll they'll lose a tie breaker to if they both end the season with the same record. The Cowboys have the same record as GB who they gave new life to a few weeks ago when the Packers appeared to be on life support. GB will also win a tie breaker over us if we end the season with the same record.

We just gave the Giants new life when we could have pretty much buried them and they now have a very good shot to make the playoffs as at least a wildcard team. With New Orleans coming up the Cowboys will be in serious trouble if they lose on Sunday. Even a terminal homer would have a tough time feeling optimistic about the Cowboys beating the high powered Saints in the Super Dome while in the middle of another Dec swoon. Let's face it the Cowboys are staring at a MAJOR collapse that could make last years Dec meltdown pale in comparison if they don't step up Sunday and come away with a win. If they can't win an IMPORTANT game at home with all they have riding on the next 4 weeks this team is no better than the gutless team we saw go 1-3 last Dec in route to a 44-6 drubbing in the season finale at Philly.

As an unbiased fan of another team I agree.

The pressure is already mounting for the Cowboys after going 0-1 to start December. And getting swept by a division rival isn't a good sign either regarldess how good Romo played.

Of course I'm rooting for the Chargers to win big this week, and if that does happen I could see the wheels coming off because there's no way you guys are beating the Saints next week and the Eagles and Skins will both be tough games as well.

Maybe it's a conspiracy against Dallas, but it seems you guys always have a brutal schedule in december. But true championshp caliber teams overcome that and don't make excuses.

Just for the record for you, and many others who make this mistake. If you have to point out and tell people you're a realist then you're not one.

A realist shouldn't feel the need to point it out in order to feel better about their opinion.

Unlike the Chargers, who've never won a Superbowl.

As confident as I am and as hard as I'll be rooting.. I'm a little concerned. Any true Boys fan has to be slightly concerned. It's up to the TEAM to calm those concerns down. Beating the Chargers is soooooooooooooooo IMPORTANT..(even though it's an afc team) it could catapult us to 4-0 or 3-1 easily down the stretch. Another December loss and the vultures are swirling and doubt creeps in with a trip to perhaps the best team in the league. From a confidence standpoint this is a MUST win.

I am concerned about this team's inconsistency. Part of me believes that it's hard to develop consistency when most of the teams in the league are so evenly matched. At some point within the next few weeks, however, the serious teams set themselves apart from the pretenders.

You show up this year and never have a positive thing to say about the Cowboys.

You make thread after thread badmouthing Romo.

So yea.

Good, we agree on something.

That people who hope bad things happen to the Cowboys so they will be right are not Cowboy fans?

Then yes we do.

That Cowboy fans will be happy if we miss the playoffs. I have a hard time thinking any of us will be.

I wish I did. Unfortunately there are a few on here that I really believe would rather we not make the playoffs just so they can thump their chests about being right.

Most fans Cowboy fans here are obviously biased towards the team and refuse to look at trends or anything that happened in the past. It's obvious this team has a December monkey on it's back that's just about the size of King Kong. There's a disturbing pattern with this team that's been going on for quite a few Decembers and it's apparently gotten into the head of the players. Their soft head coach doesn't want to address it only to say this is a different team even though it has basically the same players and is being led by the same uninspiring lump. We're currently 8-4 just like we were last year at this time and we just opened Dec with another big loss in a game we should have won. What else is new!

It looks exactly like a repeat of last year. The Giants were ripe for a beating having staggered into last weeks game and Cowboys once again folded under pressure even though Romo had a career day. How they could lose a game with the numbers he put up and no turnovers is beyond me. It's almost like the Cowboys look for ways to lose in Dec. If the Cowboys are a championship caliber team or even a team that has a chance of ending this winless playoff drought they'll win on Sunday. If they don't win the writing is on the wall for this season and it's going to spell out the same thing it did last year.
