Only right once you mean.

And if you are constantly negative ...... eventually you will be right.

Wow, you guys are hard on this poster. Trust me, he is not alone in his beliefs.

CBS sports has projected us to make it as the 6th seed after loosing to SD and NO, then beating WASH and PHILLY. Everyone knows media types are way smarter than us regular folks.

I have hopes for us to make it and for Wade to return. If we beat SD, which is doable, anything can happen.
There are quite a few of us who understand what challenges face this team in the upcoming games. Understanding means awareness. Awareness means comprehension. Comprehension means you are not going to be surprised.

How are you going to surprise someone by telling them something they already comprehend?

the only 1 he's been wrong about is the regression of Romo. that's a matter of opinion though. some of his starts are down but I think he's a better qb than he was.

the 1st 2 were his opinion that he doesn't think this team will win #6 with Romo as the starting qb. so far we haven't even come close to a Superbowl.

the last one was his opinion on this game being a make or break game for this team. I think most would agree that if we win it could lead to good things but if we lose we're finished.

he's negative and you're unrealistically positive. so if you're constantly positive eventually you'll be right too.

Of course you are correct Thumper. It's good to hit the playoffs hot though. Maybe they are sandbagging and holding out and will spring Choice as the every down back and the end of the year, other teams were game planning on Barber and we'll catch them off guard :)

I felt it was a huge mistake in 2007 to take those games lightly. I am very much against resting players late in the season for a number of reasons:

1. It is not fair to the people who bought tickets expecting to see the starters. If an owner wants to rest his players then he should issue refunds for half of the ticket price because the fans are not getting what they paid for. In essence it is fraud to play second-string players when the people who purchased the tickets did so with the understanding that the starters would be playing.

2. It sets the wrong tone going into the playoffs. You want to go in hot and on a roll not slack and hoping to turn it on when you get to the meaningful games.

3. Football is more of a TEAM sport than any other and it requires a HUGE amount of continuity to play it well. Playing 2nd string guys sounds like a good thing so your starters don't get hurt but it hurts the entire team when you do that.

I know people will say that if you lose a key starter in a meaningless game then you are screwed for the playoffs. If that were true then all those who say the games in Sept-Nov are meaningless should be pushing for us to rest our key starters until December.

Of course that's just my opinion of course.

So far????

So if I say you are gonna live forever I am correct until you die?

As far as me being "positive" ..... I really am not .... I want Wade fired and Choice to be made the starting running back.

I also want Hamlin replaced and for us to go back to the 4-3 defense.

Just because I do not ***** and moan after every lose and turn into a pitiful weeping child like "some" (hint hint) on here, does not mean I do not have many problems with this team.

One or both of the following conditions must exist before he or anyone else can claim they were "right":
  • The day when Romo is no longer the starting quarterback
  • The day when Dallas appears in a Super Bowl and Romo is not the starting quarterback
No one may be able to claim that he is wrong, but no one can state that he is right either.

As confident as I am and as hard as I'll be rooting.. I'm a little concerned. Any true Boys fan has to be slightly concerned. It's up to the TEAM to calm those concerns down. Beating the Chargers is soooooooooooooooo IMPORTANT..(even though it's an afc team) it could catapult us to 4-0 or 3-1 easily down the stretch. Another December loss and the vultures are swirling and doubt creeps in with a trip to perhaps the best team in the league. From a confidence standpoint this is a MUST win.

"so far he's been right since we haven't even come close to a Superbowl".

More then you will ever know.

Try teaching a couple of college classes and you will see what I mean.

my JC experience taught me that too much thinking makes you forget acetelene pressure and the cracks appear in the welding. In automotive class, you just monkey with the timing belts without thinking. I say leave the thinking in colege to them who studies numbers and the uppity literature classes. The eggheads say things like 'and the bird is on the wing." hail, jus say "the bird is flying"!

so the Giants, who as of today are 1 game behind us in the standings have a very good shot to make the playoffs but the Cowboys dont ?

we have 2 games against the same opponents, Washington and Philly.
we play the Chargers and Saints.
they play Carolina and Minnesota.

i fail to see how they have a "good shot" and you think we dont.
sorry just have to disagree.

i have learned that when people start a comment with "i hate to be negative", they usually dont hate it at all.

I never said the Cowboys don't have a good shot to make the playoffs but based off their dismal December history if they don't win Sunday what's the odds on beating the high powered Saints the following week in the Super Dome? In my opinion...NOT GOOD! The Cowboys lose Sunday they'll be traveling the same disturbing path we've been seeing in recent Decembers. Once this team starts fading it becomes a downward spiral they can never come out of. It's hard beating good teams who are moving up when you're moving down.

The Giants are just 2 years removed from battling back and winning a SB so they've shown they have the guts and character to make a late season run. Like last season the Cowboys are in control of their own destiny and are on the verge blowing it again if they lose Sunday. This is a very critical game and I see it as a must win. The psyche of Romo and the Cowboys are pretty fragile and a loss at home Sunday is going to create alot of doubt for the fans and the team.

Does it really matter when you win games or does it only matter that you win enough games?
Well it just so happens that this year we need to win them in December for us to advance since we got the Giants and Eagles breathing down our necks. Here's hoping we run the table and hit the playoffs at 12-4 on a roll and healthy.

And no you're not wasting your keystrokes. I for one appreciate your input.

That of course is your opinion and IMHO is very much debatable. There are no absolutes. The Chargers' are beatable and so are the Saints.

I know you already said it was picky about the wording but it's because the fact that you're saying he's right because something hasn't happened yet is...well...weird.

So if I say "The Chargers will never win a Superbowl with Phillip Rivers at QB." I guess I'm right.

If that's the case then I can just say every single team out there won't win with so and so at QB and I'll be right 31 times out of 32 every single season for the rest of my life.

That's AWESOME! What a way to be right. That's brilliant.

His claim is that they will NEVER win one with Romo. It wasn't that they wouldn't win one in 07. Or they wouldn't win one in 08. If he'd said that then he'd have been right.

To say they'll never win one with him he can't be right until the career is over. Otherwise I can be right about 98% or better of the time simply by picking something that's got great odds in my favor.

But, yeah, I guess he's right cause he went WAY OUT on a limb to say that we wouldn't win with Romo at QB.

Well, just so I can be right for a long while, I'll add a few more too it.

The Patriots will never win another Superbowl with Tom Brady at QB.

The Colts will never win another Superbowl with Peyton Manning at QB.

Donovan McNabb will never win a Superbowl.

Patrick Willis will never win a superbowl.

Matt Ryan will never win a Superbowl.

Joe Flacco will never win a Superbowl.

Drew Brees will never win a Superbowl.

Phillip Rivers will never win a Superbowl.

Chad Henne will never win a Superbowl.

Matt Shaub will never win a Superbowl.

Brett Favre will never win another Superbowl.

Kurt Warner will never win another Superbowl.

Big Ben will never win another Superbowl.

And of course I could go on and on with every other QB in the league, every runningback, every WR, and all the other positions and man oh man would my success rate at being right be absolutely through the roof!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
