a lick of football?

A lot.

You know how many guys who complain a lot, but do not know a lick about football?

You.

the Cowboys have drafted 2 guys right now who very few people have heard of, are not popular with draftnicks, but the fan base will end up rooting for because of their effort play.

Danny Amendola comes to mind.

this is 100% right. Both Johnson and Coale have as their number 1 attributes relentless effort

jason garret guys.
we'll see if he can mold em, but he's clearly picking the groceries

He ran 4.4 and lower at his pro day. That's not a speed guy but it's not too slow.

From ESPN

Accountable and a relentless worker. A well rounded and respectable individual. Has a team first mentality. Brings added value as a versatile special teams' player including showing the ability to punt in emergency situations. Graduated with a degree in finance in December of 2010 and is currently on pace to earn a second undergraduate degree in market management.

Possesses natural hands. Consistently plucks the ball away from frame and rarely lets ball into frame. Appears natural stabbing the ball on the move and doesn't break stride. Displays good body control and can open up and make tough catch outside of strike zone. Times leaps well when elevating to high point the football. Flashes ability to fully extend and pull in circus catch.

Fearless as a receiver and not afraid to put his body on the line to make catch. Displays excellent field and sideline awareness and shows a good understanding for the down and distance. Is a willing run blocker but can give better effort on a more consistent basis.

Biggest drawbacks:

getting separation, lacks top end speed.

This guy seems to me to be exactly the kind of WR Romo likes to throw to.

There appears to be a pattern to all of our picks so far...

Claiborne: "Solid work ethic. Mature for his age. No off the field issues to our knowledge. Good mental makeup for the position."

Crawford: "Very coachable. Works hard on and off the field. Appears to have good football character. No off the field issues to our knowledge."

Wilber: "A well rounded individual. Hard worker and takes coaching well. Respected by coaches and teammates. Named a team captain as a senior."

Danny Coale: "Accountable and a relentless worker. A well rounded and respectable individual. Has a team first mentality."

Matt Johnson: " This is a physical player that leaves it all on the field...always around the football.."

Streeter was a redshirt junior. I'm not saying he's the savior, but his upside is far greater than coale's.

Not so sure of that. Just because he's tall and athletic. He needs a lot of work on basically everything technical.

He may really step up when Miles gets hurt.

Every single one of the picks have these attributes. Every single one has been a JG kind of guy.

Garrett is getting his guys, so I agree, let's see what he does with them.

I love hearing the words hard worker. That goes a long way, especially with later round talent.

All I heard is we need DE, OLB, SS, slot WR and of course OL. We get football players at each of those positions and this place go nuts. We signed 2 OGs in FA, have 2 good young OGs already and some good OG/C prospects got drafted right before our turn. Relax people, be a fan, not a fanatic.
