Give it one more year. Right now, Seahawks still believe they can turn it around.

If the Seattle and Dallas ship sinks further next year, Wilson is done and Dak is in trouble. Then Carroll will be on the hot seat, and his only chance to survive firing is if he can convince the front office of his new plan to get Seattle turned around. And that's when this trade might make some sense.

I can see it happening next year, but this year? Probably not realistic unless something drastic occurs such as Russell forcing Seattle into a trade, which then I don't think it'll be with the Cowboys.

Lol Seattle doesn’t want Dak’s contract.

Don't think they would care because 1) its similar enough in stature to Russ' contract and 2) they will most likely lose Russ either way, so why not get a young, above average, proven starter in Dak instead of playing roulette in the draft or signing some mid-level guy in FA? I think it could work, and I reallly really really hope the Joneses and McClay feel the same way. Russ would turn this team from what we are now (fringe wildcard team) to a legitimate SB contender for the next 3-4 years. I truly believe Russ can play at a high level until 37-38 years of age, and hes only 33 right now, so y'all go 'head and do the math...

I agree there was a regression with Dak as the season went on, it’s not even debatable but Russell Wilson for Dak makes no sense at all. Wilson is pushing 34 and appears to be in decline. His best years are behind him. He gets sacked more than just about any QB in the league. The only Super Bowl he won he had one of the all-time great defenses and a beast at RB. No question he’s a great player but at this stage in his career trading for him makes no sense. He would never be able to have a bounce back year behind our OL and no running game. If the Seahawks are willing to move on from him then they don’t feel he’s the guy anymore.

Idk if youve watched the Seahags at all over the last 2-3 years, but if you think OUR running game was bad this year, you clearly have not seen the Seahawks running game. They have been arguably the worst in the NFL over the last 2-3 years and its not really close. Russ would thrive here, no doubt about that imo.

Chances of Seattle making that trade is zero. It would have to be Dak and high picks. You all ready to give up Dak and a couple picks for a 33 year old guy. Plus when has a trade like this ever happened? This trade would be an admission that Jerry blew it giving Dak a big contract. Jerry would never admit to a mistake.

Idk if youve watched the Seahags at all over the last 2-3 years, but if you think OUR running game was bad this year, you clearly have not seen the Seahawks running game. They have been arguably the worst in the NFL over the last 2-3 years and its not really close. Russ would thrive here, no doubt about that imo.

Russell Wilson would not thrive in Dallas behind our OL with our inconsistent running game. His best years were with beast mode and the legion of boom. His best years are behind him.

It's not really about that? The NFL in 2022 is much different than the NFL in 1991. Trades weren't a thing even as recent as 5-6 years ago, but not the case anymore. Examples such as Jared Goff, Von Miller, Khalil Mack, OBJ, Jamal Adams, etc etc has proven that big name players can and will be traded for the right price.

Much ado about nothing. If we cut or traded Dak then we take a 77 million cap hit plus taking on Wilson salary, so around 100 million out of a 208 million cap number. Sorry just not a possibility at all.

• Pete Carroll would happily take Dak. They run a conservative run 1st offense.
