Not the most hyped recent acquisition by the Cowboys, but probably the most consistently solid. If they can bring him back for pennies, I wouldn't mind seeing it happen.

If Romo says he can play then you let him play.

He's come back and played through injuries before.

If that scenario happens with Brady, Luck, Manning, Breese, Rodgers, or any top QB it would've got handled the same way Dallas handled it.

If your guy can go he goes. It's that simple

I think this is different due to the fact Romo was getting creme all game. This was not his game today.

Bummer. Might be the last time we see him in a Cowboys uniform.

Its amazing some of the things people rush and post on here right after a game. I think if people slept on some of the things they thought this world would be a better place lol. How can anyone see Romo play like that and go and blame the defense that they believed was the worst defense in the league? Sure they struggled and wiffed in tackles. They weren't very good. But at their "worst" this season they only gave up 17 or actually 20 with the field goal in OT. Cowboys offense that puts up 28.

A few key dropped passes also. Just watching the highlights who would think Dez can't hang onto 2 passes that he at least gets his hands on in the end zone... Sure DB got in there, but Dez has shown he can and will fight through that.

please
only people surprised by this outcome werent being realistic to begin with. the game against Washington is always a dogfight.

Even our SB 90's teams had tough times with Washington. NFC East battles are usually mini Super Bowls to teams opposing the Cowboys. No we aren't that caliber now, but with all the hype teams play us like we are....

We've stayed relatively injury-free so this is bound to happen. It's a shame it had to be him.

Much like Lee he can't seem to finish a season, he's been good and there was a night and day difference on D with and without him last night but I'd rather find someone we can rely on for a full season then spend money on him

Weeden was superior in a dumbed down defense. Weeden was simply hitting wide open receivers with no pass rush. Now if that would've kept up? I agree Weeden gives us the better chance to win. And maybe it would've. But let's don't kid ourselves and act like Weeden faced the same defense that Weeden did. I personally would've left him in there for that fact alone. BUT if i'm going with my better quarterback? If he's healthy? I'm going with Romo.

Looked to me like Weeden got the ball out quicker, and Washington respected his arm more than were Romo's.

I'll have to stay away from here with this type of thinking. How do you guys live from day to day with that type of mindset?

Weeded may have looked better only because the play calling by the coaches changed dramatically. They RAN the ball except for a small stroke Linnenhen suffered when we got down inside 3 yards line and he went pass, pass.
Problem with our coaches is that they LEAN too much on Romo when they should have been leaning more on Murray and screen game against the blitz.

Exactly!

Tough loss, good leader and good player.

It's funny, but when he was named captain I was told by one of the CowboysZone resident experts that Durant stinks. Now, there's 10 pages on his injury. Guess it turns out, he's a pretty decent player.

Yea, but Romo is not those guys. No matter how much we want him to be he's not.

He is that guy to this team. You're fooling yourself if you think it was the same as losing an Andy Dalton.

At worst Romo is in the Matt Ryan/Jay Cutler/Joe Flacco category and all those guys would come back in if they could play as well.

And if it is obvious that he is gimpy, limited, and possibly hurting the team, you still let him play? Sometimes, it should not be left up to the player.

When Romo was in I never at any point thought he was hurting our team.

The Blitz pickup was horrible. Absolutely horrible.

If I had to point a finger im pointing it at Demarco Murray. He hurt as much as he helped last night.
