this will not be a game for the faint of heart...and this is just the kind of game we need to find out if this team wants to win. They are not going to drop 30 on the Bucs. They are going to have to play tough. And the defense is going to have to be MORE than solid. The Bucs do not let you light the scoreboard up...and in my opinion....Dallas has gone Hollywood...so they are not interested in winning unless they can win with style. And that is from the coaching staff on down!

While I can appreciate Banner's "here and now" tone and he has a point that might make the Eagles riff-raff fanbase snicker, yes, we have not won a playoff game in over a decade.

But, apparently he has failed to look in the Eagles Trophy Case and see the complete lack of Lombardi Trophies.

It is a what have you done for me lately league.

Unfortunately, we havent done much lately.

For a guy with 17,000 posts, you need to heed a special piece of advice.

Read more, post less.

Was.

But like the bulk of your fanbase, you are living in the past. Say hello to 1993 for me.

Since the Glazers have taken over the team in 1996 from the atrocious Hugh Culverhouse era, the franchise has been pretty damn good. Maybe you'd like to compare?

Since 1996 (12 seasons)

Buccaneers

8 seasons at .500 or better
7 playoff appearances
5-6 postseason record
4 Division Titles
2 NFC Championship Games
1 Super Bowl win

2 Head Coaches (Dungy/Gruden)

Cowboys

7 seasons at .500 or better
6 playoff appearances
1-6 postseason record
3 Division Titles
0 NFC Championship Games
0 Super Bowl wins

5 Head Coaches (Switzer/Gailey/Campo/Parcells/Phillips)

The Bucs are a far more stable organization right now than the Cowboys, and have been far more successful in the playoffs. The Cowboys have a richer tradition and history than the Bucs, but there has been a steady deterioration of the Cowboys franchise since that last Super Bowl.

If not for Parcells, the Cowboys would be cellar dwellars. And if this current track continues, spending on Hollywood free agents instead of football players, the days of Dave Campo will return. And quickly.

I'm here to discuss Sunday, my team and your team.

If I am doing something against the rules, I'll adjust my posts to regulations, as I did with a pic recommended by another member.

If I'm ribbin' on you guys, it's all in part of the game, and exactly what I do in my own stadium.

Hey.... listen, after an intense game against the Packers a couple weeks ago at Raymond James Stadium, I wished Packer fans well on Aaron Rodgers injury, and told 'em they had a good squad even though they lost.... and after 3 hours of trash back and forth.

Regardless of the outcome Sunday, expect a thread in this forum from me on Monday afternoon.

Don't sweat it cause some of us around here, myself included at times, just can't, or won't, take the ribbing like fans of a sports team should. Feelings get hurt, butts get sore, that sort of thing.
