I agree it was always a bad deal. I was trying to say that the trade being for personal reasons shouldn't let them off the hook.
it doesn’t

..yep, ..yep I concur.Sometimes the best moves are the ones you don’t make.
I very much hope he’s wrong about that.
But even if it was just a second round pick, it still makes the Jones boys look like idiots.
Give away Amari Cooper for nothing and then invest another premium pick on yet another big-money receiver to fill the void that THEY CREATED.
And that is what is sad. Unless the other players hated him or something. yes he was always nicked up but he always tried to play even when he should have sat, but were always told that is what coaches want them to do, gut it out. I mean look at Randy, nothing but personal issues and health issues his entire career but they tried to keep him. Just sad because i know this team is better with him than without even if he's nothing more than a decoy so the others can get 1 on 1 looks.
As far as not showing up vs better CB's. That is partly on the OC and QB. Dak isn't going to force things into double coverage much, that's partly why his INT's are so low and the coaches don't always do a good job of moving players around to create those 1 on 1 matchups. he was just one of those guys who could go off at any moment and give them some juice at times.
You can only scheme to a certain degree – but it’s up to skill set of that player “first” to be the better player vs his competition.
You don’t draft a guy with a No. 1 pick … or trade a no. 1 pick for a guy who has to rely on totally on scheme to get open.
It’s player first – scheme second.
That’s why they gave/made Cooper one of the highest paid WRs in the NFL at that time.
Rams scheme Cooper Kupp to move him around and make it harder to corral and bracket, but much of his work Is beating coverage guys one on one and tying their ankles in knots.
In regards to Randy Gregory,For all of his substance suspension issues, i've never heard any minuses and questions in regards to his heart and effort, or having to be benched on the sidelines,
what a lot of people still don't get ( or want to get?) is Randy did have a legit medical issue as he was diagnosed as bi-polar condition, and resorted to weed to cope.
That alone is a difference between the two " support or don't support " players.
I mean at this point I don't see how the OP doesn't get some kind of ban.
What did I say that isn't true? Did you not see him loafing in the 49er playoff game? Are you denying that he routinely claimed that he couldn't practice and by some miracle he was well enough to play in games? No, you’re talking about that. Saying things that aren’t true so you can feel better about a player no longer here.
Always great wearing a star, never as good without it.
It does make them good. Anybody that follows the game closely knows that the Cowboys are good.It doesn’t make them right.

Except Brandin Cooks is better.I very much hope he’s wrong about that.

Brandin Cooks shows up in road games. And you know how you guys give Coop the excuse of playing bad because his quarterback is Davis Mills? Well Cooks doesn’t let that stop him being he’s racked up 1k seasons with guys like Goff and Davis Mills. Why do you think that?

That should not be the case though. The stats should be heavily favored in Coops favor because of superior quarterback play. But it’s not.The fact is that Cooks’ and Cooper’s career stats (since Cooper entered the league) are nearly identical with Cooper having a few more touchdowns.
