Sign me up.

He'll either be a spectacular success or a spectacular failure.

Either way, what do we really have to lose?

At the very least, he won't be the Jones boys' yes-man. Deion's doing things his way, period.
He would get the most out of a lot of guys, but he won’t be able to perform miracles with an inferior roster because his bosses can’t figure out how to make the salary cap work.

They need some better players, and not just one draft.

If anyone is going to speak up on this….or anything really…it’s Prime. I’m just worried he never gets another real NFL shot after Jerry and son scapegoat him in a few years, but that’s on him.

This is definitely media games. Deion has changed his requirements multiple times to make it seem like he wants to take the Dallas job so he can get more out of Colorado. He is still hiring and has hired staff at Colorado this week. Jerry helping his guy Prime out driving up his leverage and also staying in the headlines. While creating a vibe that he has a hot market for this job but technically hasnt even interviewed Deion. If he was really serious about Prime there should have been an official interview so it could count for the Rooney Rule and he wouldnt have had to use a retread non realistic open like Leslie Frazier for interviewing purposes. Prime to Dallas is just more media circus.

Im not sure Deions leadership style would work well in the pros
I don't know about that. I could see if he was instilling fear in kids but he's not. He's leading because he knows how to talk to them. And a lot of the guys on this team aren't much older then the guys he's coached. I don't know if he will work. I don't know if any guy will work under Jerry. But this is the type of coach we haven't tried yet...

If this happens....then you are alienating the
last of the old-school fans. You can kiss the America's team good bye. And you won't get that back....ever.
But if they hire Moore or Saleh they’re still Americas team? Deion might be the only move that can actually bring about some real change to a team that desperately needs it. The usual puppet route would just be more of the same.

Deion's greatest strength is in recruitment. People want to play for him. He can get players but that's not the problem in Dallas. Players already want to play here.
Deion's biggest strength is that he's just really cool.

The last coach we had that was objectively cool was Big Tuna.

A lot of Cowboy fans don't like Deion and say the he was just "rent a player" kind of guy, but without him the Cowboys would never have a few of them, uh, SB's. As for me, I like his brash personality because he is one that actually talks the talk and walks the walk.

What other athlete finishes a football game, hops on a helicopter and flies to play a Major League baseball game.

Absolutely.

Deion is who he is, and he won't ever change that or tone it down. I respect that.

I see 2 hires that match what you want. Prime and Glenn, that is it... Kellen moore is not a leader of men.
I like Glenn a lot. I’m not sure he’s a big enough persona to handle it. I’m not saying he’s not, I’m just not sure. I know for sure Deion can handle that aspect of the job. But he presents other question marks.
