So what if Greg Ellis is a Raider now. Just because he is no longer on the team has no impact on the truth of what he said. Him being an ex-Cowboy does not mean he is making it up. People can call him a loser or disagree with what he is saying, but nobody on here really knows the truth since they were not there. So for those that want to dismiss what he is saying simply because he is a Raider, it is extremely illogical and ignorant to criticize him for speaking out. Sure he might have some bitter feelings and have been a whiner towards the end, still doesn't mean what he says isn't the truth.
Just like so many ignorant people want to say if you criticize someone like romo then you aren't a fan, and with that logic you couldn't have been a fan if you criticized TO since that argument revolved around not being a fan if you criticize a player on the team, how quickly so many forget what Greg Ellis gave to this team. He played here for 10 years coming back after 2 devastating leg injuries and played as well as he did, and now he is having his name and reputation trashed simply because he said what his feelings and observations about the team he played on were.
Many people on here in the past have said, "Well, that guy was a bad player so anything he said about what went on just can't be true." Do people not see how stupid that sounds, so what if he wasn't the best player, what you observe has nothing to do with what kind of player this person is, but somehow so many relate the 2 together.
I'm sure there are plenty of past or future ex places of employment that will be or are glad when you no longer work there. You might leave for personal reasons, or disagree with the direction of the business and you might be right, but do you deserve to be criticized for leaving or saying what you think just because you are not there any more? Even if you did a great job, does that mean everything you accomplished should be dismissed?
Of course not, so while many of you might disagree with what Ellis said, but you have nothing to base it on other then your opinion since you were not there. So if you want to call yourself a "real fan", then perhaps you should refrain from criticizing Ellis for what he said, and simply just appreciate all he did over the last decade, that is of course if you have criticized him as harshly as some have. I understand it is human nature to jump to conclusions, but none of us can form a conclusion since none of us were there, but if you're content being close minded and telling yourself you know something you really don't, then I feel sorry for you and any friends or family.
