Thank the football gods Claiburn is gone. Reliving this game
Thank the football gods Claiburn is gone.
It should be noted, Jeff Fisher was the guy who called the Cowboys to trade out of the slot to draft Mo.
It should also be noted that Fisher clearly targeted him on Sunday.
I don't think it's coincidence. Not everyone was fooled.
Did I say expect? I said should. If I had my way Jerry wouldn't talk to the media at all about personnel in his rambling, incoherent, dementia laden drawl.
If you like him talking to the media about it, then I'm happy for you. Seriously. I wish I could be.
One team found the easy mark. Jerry we have the next Deion. Jerry: I'll take him.
I doubt anyone needs to see the All 22 to see Mo is a pile of garbage.
If this is true, he'll be traded or cut.
One team found the easy mark. Jerry we have the next Deion. Jerry: I'll take him.
I will tell you exactly what I think happened: Jerry did the trade because what the Rams were charging to move up from the middle of the first round to pick #6 was way less than typical. Normally it would take a lot more than a second to move up that much... Jerry saw a deal there, and made the trade because there was a highly rated CB there. The Rams even used the old "we got so much from Washington in the RGIII trade that we don't need that much here."
The problem was, the team hadn't done their due diligence on Claiborne. They hadn't really looked at him and the (recently) highly efficient manner in which Garrett and the scouts did their evaluations, didn't even come into play. Basically, they went in blind into Claiborne, not much better than us fans who only have Kiper's rankings and mock drafts to look at. They didn't evaluate him mentally, and made a poor and hasty decision because they got a trade up that high at below market value and Jerry couldn't pass it up.
That is honestly what I think happened.
Cornerback Morris Claiborne skipped the Cowboys' walk-through practice and angrily left the club's Valley Ranch training facility Tuesday after being informed that Orlando Scandrick was replacing him in the starting lineup, multiple sources told ESPN.
The Cowboys could fine Claiborne for missing the practice or conduct detrimental to the team.
Claiborne's demotion came a few hours after Jerry Jones said on his weekly radio show that the third-year cornerback had not been worth the sixth pick of the 2012 in the draft, which Dallas moved up to acquire.
