I want to see Sam but I don't think it'll happen. They seem to like their two man rotations.
Crawford/Selvie at LDE
Melton/McClain at 3-tech
Hayden/Bishop at 1-tech
And Mincey has played well enough to be at RDE. I think Mincey/Spencer will form the RDE duo starting next week.

The kid can't play, and he has been killing us for sometime now. One of the worst draft choices in club history.

And believe it or not, but he is the sixth most expensive player on our team this year.

What is even worse is that the Cowboys guaranteed Claiborne's entire contract, so even if we cut him next year, we still end up with the same salary cap ramifications. Best case scenario we can trade him for a player in a similar situation.

The question becomes, why was he drafted so high? Avg speed at BEST. No special coverage skills. Is hurt all the time. Seems lost on almost every play. Simply does not know where he should be.

He has the potential to make a good back up. If he is found in the film room late every night, maybe he starts to earn some of that big contract money. He simply must get smarter. He could do that. It has been done before.

This situation gives pause to any GM that may have thought about trading for him. His stock is plummeting. What a dumb decision.

GMs watch tapes. The Rams didn't target him by accident on Sunday.

Not saying his walking out was in any way, shape or form was a good move for anyone, but it didn't hurt his trade value all that much. Everyone knows what he is.

There are a few players that I really don't like on this team:

Claiborne
Sometimes Bruce Carter
Sometimes Doug Free
A few times Barry Church

I doubt he gets released, as well. People are speaking from a position of a fan. With the depth at the CB spot, he still has a place on the team. I even doubt him being deactivated considering they play the Saints on Sunday.

If he comes back tomorrow and does the whole apology in front of the team bit, all will be back to normal.

Winners don't quit. And quitters don't win. Mentally, he is not up to the task of playing as an NFL quality CB. And physically he just doesn't have the speed or toughness. He can't even jam a WR. He can't even play zone. I don't even think he has the speed to run with the TEs in the NFL.

I am sure the Bengals are asking the same questions about Dre Kirkpatrick. Very similar except for the not trading up and overselling him as the next Deion thing.

I can only imagine how hard this must be on the kid. He has prolly always been a great player and has been told over and over again just how great he is. He is a top ten pick in the draft after a stellar career at LSU and he was probably thinking the NFL was just going to be a new forum to showcase his talents.

The Bust label has been out there since the end of his rookie year and has only picked up momentum since. He seems like a genuinely nice kid and I thought he would be a perfect fit for the passing NFL. The problem is that he is too frail in build, too injury prone, doesn't show good situational awareness, shows no ability to tackle in the run game and now has walked out on the team when things get tough.

Good teams moveon. Bad teams hold on trying to salvage the unsalvageable. It's a sad day but it's time for this organization to admit it made a huge mistake and walk away from this.

There may be someone out there that'll trade something for him.
They may see potential still and think they can realize it in a new environment.
I doubt we could get very much...maybe a 4th.

Mincey has been quite serviceable. He's not all world, but he's not the tomato can I thought he was. I am for bringing in Sam if he has shown enough in practice to warrant it. Have there been any reports from practice that he is ready to pull a George Jefferson and move on up?

Good, I wouldn't care if he never put on that star again. This entitled scrub needs to be on the first thing smokin out of Dallas

Broaddus made a good point on twitter. Cole Beasley quit. Team welcomed him back and now he's a fan favorite.

I'm not suggesting Mo will ever be a fan favorite, but it would be very presumptuous and emotionally reactive to think they're going to release him outright.

God point about Beasley. I forgot all about him quitting but it was for a much different reason IIRC. And Beasley can play, Claiborne can't.:)
