Claiborne did not attend position meetings or the film review of the Rams game. The Cowboys could fine Claiborne for missing practice or for conduct detrimental to the team.
But more importantly they want him back at the facility on Wednesday and ready to go for Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints as part of the Cowboys nickel defense.
Whether he’s starting or not, a source said “we need all the corners we can get this week,” and added that Claiborne “was/is going to play a lot.”

This one is on Claiborne, not the Cowboys. Not Jerry, Stephen or Garrett. They did what they had to do. Claiborne was beyond bad Sunday and had to know a demotion was coming. And this is how he handles it? He has had every chance to succeed and is either injured or subpar in performance. Good riddance Morris, you bust. Keep walking.

Agreed we can't possibly know how the team will react, I think it will depend on Mo's rep in the clubhouse.

But I still believe that walking out on a team practice because you are told you are not being given a starting position you feel you are entitled to is a different animal than Beasley, or even RMcClain, when your head is not wrapped around committing to football at that particular time.

Agreed. I'm not comparing the situations. I'm comparing the team reactions.

It's more for the cut him loose crowd.

What reason did he have for quitting? That his heart wasn't in it? Lol that he thought he didn't have a chance of making the team? Lol

He was on the verge of losing his girlfriend so he wanted to be with her, IIRC.

If his contract is guaranteed then they should keep him for depth I guess,,,, what a disaster that pick was considering we needed multiple players and it cost us two high picks. The silver haired gremlin strikes again.

It was bound to happen eventually, however, at this point I don't see any other team offering more than a bag of practice balls for Mo

sad, but true, gawd this whole situation sucks so bad, another blow to the defense, smh.......

Parcells would have cut him loose a while ago, certainly would have for this episode. I don't really care what the rest of team thinks about him either way, he's obviously soft and entitled.

That's not anything that would be attributed to Beasley.

For once I have zero problem with Jerry spouting his mouth. He deserves to be called out, and the reaction was predictable.

He'll be back tomorrow, and we'll be back in the situation we were in before Scandrick was suspended. The bigger issue is that he's not developing quickly enough. Jason Garrett commented after last week's game (post game, not in the Monday presser) that Mo made multiple different types of technique errors. It would be nice to see the guy improving, or pushing Carr, instead of running in place.

Well, like some have said recently "a poor attitude can make you uncoachable" , I guess that should be true for both Dixon and Claiborne, no?

Winners don't quit. And quitters don't win. Mentally, he is not up to the task of playing as an NFL quality CB. And physically he just doesn't have the speed or toughness. He can't even jam a WR. He can't even play zone. I don't even think he has the speed to run with the TEs in the NFL.

Key word, "mentally" . Nonetheless can't play the position.

Regardless of what Jones said, his reaction to it was childish. I do not care who said what. All we know is he got upset, we do not know if it was the hard news of a demotion, or being called out on the radio by the owner. All we have is him skipping a workout and behaving unprofessionally.

Honestly, if that is his mentality, he's as weak minded as can be and has no business being a CB in the NFL.

^this^ Him walking out shows a child like response to criticism hence, the wonderlic score. What a waste.

Shame on Mo. This organization believed in you and went as far as giving up a chance at getting another player to pick you. You didn't meet expectations and then have the audacity to barge out when they demote you. Be lucky if they (locker room) welcome you back.

as already noted, Parcells had a dirty jersey thrown in his face and didn't cut the guy, so forgive me if I don't think he would cut mo outright either.

And if u read my earlier post of fwst article, team wants him to return and get back on board. They're not interested in cutting him.

Not developing quickly enough? Understatement of the year.

See to me Idgit, there's not much to develop. He doesn't pass the eye test.

He's not particularly fast. He's not particularly quick and doesn't have great closing acceleration. He's not big, definitely isn't very physical, and isn't particularly good at tackling, nor does he relish it like a guy like Moore. He constantly seems to be involved with secondary "confusion."

After 2 years and 3 games, what exactly is going to develop at this point?

I don't watch a lot of college ball, so I don't know what people saw in him to rate him so high. I have heard that he was a "ball hawk" though. But at this level you are not fast, quick, physical or smart enough to consistently be around the ball, what good is your 'hawkishness' about it?

He didn't last very long either. Getting cut doesn't always happen at the moment of infraction.

I sincerely doubt they will. It's not like we are swimming in a deep talent pool of DBs. But I have severe doubts he is here next year.

Come on man, if this is true be a professional and earn your way back. The GM publicly challenged you, now this? You can either pout about it or answer the call. I'm hoping for the latter but who knows.
