Why would we hate on the fact that they got the guy that just recently you were talking smack about and how you wanted Bynum.

So we're supposed to be mad about this? Wow.

Love how you ignore the fact that they all basically laughed at you while calling you out on it as well.

Love how the every NBA team just bends over backwards to make the Lakers better, what a joke the NBA has become

Orlando's return looks like what you come back with on your tray from the cheap Mexican buffet. A little sampling of a wide array of nothing much. They didn't even bother to raise the flag.

They're trying their best to buy a championship..we'll see if it works out

I'll take LeBron exercising his earned rights as an unrestricted free agent, including the meaningless PR stunt "announcement", any day over Melo and Howard acting like problem children to strong arm trades to pre-selected major media markets for pennies on the dollar compensation. Howard and Melo won't get near the criticism LeBron did from the media, because they're playing in New York and LA. LeBron mainly got crucified because he chose the Miami lifestyle over playing in New York, which was an inexcusable sin for the East Coast Media.

I really don't see why people complain about the melo trade. Danillio Gallanari (14.6 ppg, 4.7rpg and 2.7 apg), Wilson Chandler (9.4 ppg, 5.1 rpg and 2.1 apg) and Timofey Mozgov (5.4 ppg, 4.1 rpg and 1bpg) wasn't a bad compensation package for a guy most people believe is too selfish to ever be on a winning team.

:laugh2: @ people acting like we were gifted Dwight. You people do realize we gave up Andrew Bynum who is the second best center/big in the game right?

Like I said earlier I'm happy we got Dwight and it was without question the right move, but I'm really gonna miss Andrew Bynum. He is one of my favorite players and had really grown on me over the years. I will be rooting for him in Philly heavily. Kid has loads of potential. Just got a little maturing to do and if he does that than he'll be a great and dominant player in this league.

Im more then happy .....Sixers got rid of Iggy's contract and now have Bynum.

We did give up our 1st rd pick this year....and I think the kid has potential. And last yr first rd pick....and a future protected first......but if the Sixers can extend Bynum contract...then I really like this deal.

It would be sad if Bynum left :( and tested FA.....

Imagine if both Bynum and Howard test FA next year. ??? Kind of a wasted trade for both teams :(

Drew won't leave me trust me. One thing he's wanted was his own team. Now he'll have that in Philly. Plus he'll get to play with a very good young point guard in Jrue Holiday.

They will test free agency for the simple fact that they'll get way more money, but I don't see either Dwight or Drew leaving their new teams.

Why even play the the season and playoffs, they should just have teams show their receipts to claim their spot in the finals

Now let me know how you really feel about this.

Bynum will be great in Phil(IMO). I'll miss Bynum but Howard is a much better fit with current roster and better overall.

Ive been a Suns fan since i moved to Phx in 1982 ... Been a Mavs fan since we drafted The German. You can understand now the hate that i have for the Lakers. But im done with the NBA now ... screw that fixed league.

Yes, Bynum might be the 2nd best center in the league. However, Howard is the best center in the league, and probably by a considerable margin. For this upgrade the Lakers had to take on no crap contracts or give up any other real assets.

Usually when you trade a lesser player for a better player, you have to throw something in to sweeten the pot. And by "usually" I mean 99.999999999% of the time. So, yeah, pretty sweetheart deal for them.

If you didn't think there was "complaining" when Barkley got traded to Phoenix, you probably weren't alive then. Was it to the level that we'll see with D12? No, because there wasn't 24/7 media coverage or even the proliferation of the internet at the time. But everyone knew that trade stunk to high heaven.

I want the job as lakers GM just so i can be a real life verion of the guy in your fantasy league that always sends ******** trade offers to everyone, all your good players for his crap. Imagine a league with that guy and a bunch of random people that do nothing but agree to those trade offers, that folks is the NBA

Cheering for the Lakers is like going to vegas and cheering for the house

Good C for the best C in the game, if it wasn't the Lakers offering no one would take that trade, but since the league is somehow obliged to make the Lakers better they go out of their way to make sure you get what you want.

The Lakers are the Paris Hiltons of pro sports

Well, it looks like Superman has found a home. I wish nothing but the best for Big Bynum. I hope he follows what was a great season last year with an even better one next year. I know LA is excited about the deal and rightfully so. The Lakers landed a piece that will hopefully carry the franchise long after I'm gone. I have spoken to Dwight Howard already and we are locked and loaded to bring back the title. Wow, what a summer Jimmy and Mitch have had so far. Unreal! I'm focused on our semifinal game vs Argentina but I had to pause for a few to send you my thoughts, in case you were curious..

Kobe is very happy. :D
