1. He is a rat boy. LOL..

Seriously,

1. I don't like WCO, never have.
2. I don't like him.

Give me a Capers, Nolan,Or a nobody over a coach who has done nothing without the likes of a T.Davis or Elway.

But, it still goes back to

1. I don't like WCO, never have.
2. I don't like him.

And this too:

In general, I don't like the WCO, either... But there are so many styles of it now that it depends on which coach you're talking about. Reid's throw-it-every-down style I can't stand. Shanahan (and even his longtime OC Kubiak) likes to run it much more, though, with lots of bootlegs and rollouts. I think it would be perfect for Romo's abilities, and we'd finally have an identity on offense.

BTW, still lame to post something 12 months old as if it were new.

what's to think about Jerra?
Are you holding out for Wade's son to coach your team?
Are you waiting for Norvell Turner to quit his great team to work for you?

Just sign Shanny and do it before Cleveland or the Bucs or the Steelers make him an offer!!!!!!!!

Its like my 11th grade english class.

My sister who is 3 years older had the same teacher for the same class 3 years before me. She kept everything and i went back to study from her notes one day only to realize it was word for word what mine was, then I realized so were the tests and the quizzes.....

Guess who got an A in 11th grade english?

:)

This is from January...

So are you talking about the Insider article or something else? Because I know the Insider article link was not on the ESPN page in the NFL section yesterday but it did show up today.

If ESPN is posting stuff a year old then maybe they'll post a T.O. article or two from last year...

I see this has been merged...
garyv's initial posts (Posts 66 & 67) were dated Jan 3, 2008 and Jan 3, 2009.

If it's posted somewhere I haven't seen with a newer date, I'd guess ESPN is going for the trifecta...

Ah, OK. My first post was a link to an Insider article from today that talked about rumors of 3 reasons Shanny would go to Dallas. Of course they've since posted a new one that says in the title that it may be too late for Dallas to get him. Since I'm not a subscriber I don't know what the new article says.

Wow. Shanny's son lives in Houston. That isn't as far from Dallas as other places. Good work.

Just my preference, finding someone new. Not saying its right or wrong. Name me a coach that won a Super Bowl with 2 different teams?

Cowher, Shanahan, Holmgren, or Gruden would be a mistake imo.

The next coach is actually irrelevant. Nothing will change with Jerry running the show. 13 years of futility and counting.

No coach has ever won 2 Superbowls with different franchises ... which proves absolutely nothing, other than it's really hard to take turn around and take a franchise to a Superbowl win once, much less twice. Which is why you're talking about rarefied air of coaching when you're talking about head coaches who have even taken two different franchises to Superbowls ... like Parcells, Vermeil and Holmgren. Yeah, those guys are good. You want guys like that running your franchise.

If Shannahan or Holmgren comes to Dallas, Jerry won't be running the show. They wouldn't accept the job if he was, because they'll have a long line of other suitors to choose from given that they have a history of turning around franchises and winning. A young, hungry coordinator on the other hand .... well, let's just say "hungry" is often times synonymous with "I'll put with and say anything to get a chance at a head coaching job"

Fair enough. Your point that a Shanahan or Holmgren would clearly have more say in decision making is a valid one. Neither would be a Jerry puppet.

I don't think this franchise has a chance either way with Jerry still being the one front and center.

shefter is to shannahan what mortensen is to parcells.

cahoots....there in it.

so if shannahan needs an angle pushed, his espn pushover will help him.

I cant wait to read the why team x...who hires shannahan is so much better by adam shefter....

shills are awesome.
