ESPN on QB Contracts (Dak)

I will never be able to appreciate Dak's contract because I do not believe his skills and talent are worth it.

The less he does the better we are and he can't consistently commit to that play style.

Dak has earned his contract based on his performance up to that point and many people who are currently or were formerly employed by the NFL have also agreed.

You and your fellow minions hate when Dak does play well, especially when we win because it crush your weak agenda.

QBs are paid too much. It almost feels like you get the same results in the $10-$40 million range. I would gladly pay big bucks for an Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady in their prime. It's a team sport first, and when one position, even one as important as QB, takes up too much of the cap, it's time to move on.

I’d disagree. I think if you have an above average QB you go all in while you can and that is your window. It won’t be easy - but they can get creative with contracts to keep a competitive roster.

Our QB play jumped to 3rd in the NFL in EPA / play when Dak returned and we almost upped our PPG by 2 TDs.

I don't enjoy inconsistent play from the quarterback position.... or the coaching staff... or the management.... or the defense's inability to stop the run.....

But each of those areas have seemed to have improved.

No team in football succeeds because of ONE man playing ONE position. If that was the case, Aaron Rodgers, who's considered by many to be the best top 2, top 3 quarterbacks to have ever played, would have more superbowl rings. Rodgers has the same amount of Superbowl rings as Trent Dilpher and Nick Foles. So what should I take from that based on your logic??

There's 53 guys on a roster and a coaching staff for a reason. When football teams win championships, they don't just hand out one ring to the quarterback.... they hand out rings to 53 players, the coaching staff and management. Why is that???

The problem with you and a few of your minions around here is, you cry, ***** and moan when Dak plays bad.... rightfully so. But yall NEVERRRRR give Dak credit when he plays well. You STILL are negative when he plays well. Most of yall post until your fingers bleed after losses when Dak is under center.

But when we win with Dak under center, yall positing count dramatically decreases. I wonder why??

Then the next time yall post after a solid outing by Dak, yall mention something negative from 3 weeks ago. You and your minions REALLY made me laugh when yall blamed Dak for the defense's inability to stop the run all game. Blamed him for putting us up by 14 and the defense losing the lead. Everyone in the country recognized it was the defense's doing, Parsons admitted that they would never let the offense down like that again.....

Then you and your 4 man band blamed everything on Dak.... LOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!

**** was hilarious when Cooper Rush would pass for 102 yards a game with 4 td passes in 4 games and you and a few others praised him like he lit it up.... but then Dak comes in, goes 25 for 28 and toss 4 tds and 300 yards in one game, we win and then you and your crew would start crying about the 3 incompletions he missed or some mistakes he made a month ago.

Make that fraudulent behavior make sense.....

That's why alot of people around here don't take yall seriously because you never give credit to the quarterback of the team you "supposedly" support when he DOES play well. We all recognize that most of yall are frauds, but we just play along and keep beating yall ***** with facts and evidence. It's cool....

I want you to write down, save, or whatever you want my expectations for Dak so you can stop with the "moving the goal posts" stuff. At least when it comes to me specifically.

My expectations for Dak is consistent play that leads deep into the playoffs. I don't even need a Super Bowl win this year. I just want to see Dak play well and lead this team past the divisional round.

I also expect Dak to be able to will us to wins when everything is working perfect for us. Sometimes we need him to shoulder the load, ya know? He usually fails miserably when that happens (especially if the run game isn't working, 6 wins in his entire career when we have less than 100 rushing yards. Yikes.). I don't even expect it every time, but some of the time isn't asking much. He literally NEVER does it. He's a QB that's more like a role player.

So, there, remember that before you say "moving the goal posts" because my goal posts are always the same.

[Unrelated side-note, I was surprised by former QB Tim Hasselbeck’s list of NFC QB’s he trusts most to win an NFC playoff game. He had Dak at number 2.

Why is that surprising? Here are the current playoff QBs if the season ended today:

Dak Prescott
Taylor Heinicke - no explanation needed
Daniel Jones - no explanation needed
Kirk Cousins - plays small in big games
Jalen Hurts - unproven in playoffs
Tom Brady - stud in playoffs
Jimmy Garrapolo - defense carries that team

The only bonified/proven stud at QB in the playoffs is Brady. It's pretty easy to make an argument for Dak even if you don't like him.[/QUOTE]
