Everyone is writing Randy Gregory off. I'm not

The insurance companies are bailing out of the national healthcare exchanges (United Healthcare just did from most), so who knows what it will all look like soon.

That's why competition should be allowed bw insurance companies...

It's not good news any more than legal cigarette smoking is not good news. It would not bother me, and countless others, if MJ, tobacco, and alcohol
were made illegal or taxes at much higher rates to limit their use. Alcohol abuse is not a good think just like MJ abuse is not a good thing. You
protest too much me thinks. Isn't it time to find another fish to fry.

You either want freedom or not...there are totalitarian states like Saudi Arabia that fully agree with your ideas of freedom:D

Stoned 'nuts?' Can you please stop with the reefer madness rhetoric. It's foolishness.

1) No one is saying making DUI legal.
2) Since legalization, traffic accidents in Colorado are down.

Puritans like making up fictional stories not based in reality to try and fearmonger their way into policy. Facts do not bear out your scenario unfortunately. What is impinging on someone's rights is to incarcerate them for doing something that has no effect on you because you are scared.

More front brain. Less back brain please.

2) correlation vs causation...Ad Hoc Fallacy...

Lett had anxiety problems and he used an illegal substance that did ruin his career. That's on him. Should it be illegal (not if you are okay w/alcohol being legal). Another argument, etc.

All I care about is what the NFL allows. This society argument makes me no difference, I am a bottom line guy and right now if you test positive for drug use including weed you will get suspended period the players know this and yet some continue I feel no sympathy for idiots who fricken choose to blow it over something that is so called no big deal. if it was not a big deal so many would not watch their careers go down the drain so evidently it is a big deal. Lett anxiety could have been treated and done so that it would not have caused him the problems it in the end it was his choice. He was warned, suspended, suspended again and then again. I'm sorry I will not make excuse for stupid behavior.

You didn't read up on the FED then;) What war? The billions of dollars wasted but continuously allocated to LE and federal agencies to "prevent" the attainment of such illegal substances. Add up those figures and the recent militarization of our police force; where did they get all this extra money to acquire such equipment?:D It's a money maker for the govt/LE...

Tsk...Tsk... Much of our federal debt is made up of the Vietnam War and War in Iraq and Afghanistan. Our future debt burden is expected to
be Social Security, Medicare and other entitlements.

2) correlation vs causation...Ad Hoc Fallacy...

Not when you are using it disprove causation. While correlation does not necessarily imply causation, it does follow that if there is no correlation then there is no causation.

At the end of the day the reefer madness fearmongering hasn't played out in Colorado, Washington, Oregon, etc. There ideas did not bear out in reality.

Where did you get your facts? The Huffington Press, yea I'd believe that one.

Oh wow - another science explanation. How about this science - are you impaired on weed? Yes or no. Science experiment #1

Is this step 1 of some long drawn out fantasy or are you going to argue that freedoms should include much more harmful substances like nicotine and alcohol but somehow marijuana is the root to our problems in the workforce if it is legalized? Make a point with facts, than people can argue with others, etc.

Again, you have been counted. You've been shown the polls. You are the shrinking minority.

 How do doctors make more money for prescribing something that can be grown in a persons home? What is the profit motive? Fact is that it works and more and more clinical studies are coming out to prove it. The reefer madness scare tactics ring hollow.

Barbiturates are much more addictive and have long term cognitive effects. If you think pot is worse than Xannax and some of the hypnotics I think you're delusional.

You obviously don't know Federal Law. You can't grow MJ in your backyard legally anywhere. State Law is superseded by Federal Law
always.

Who gets to say what is right? You? Please point to me the amendment or clause of the constitution that justifies your puritanism.

You can whine about the inherent evil of a naturally occurring plant if you like but at the end of the day our republic is what it is. Thus legalization being on 20 ballots this year.

and a business has every right to penalize employees who use drugs or alcohol. I find if strange it is not a big deal so then why not stop using while playing in the NFL then once your short career is over go get high. Thing is for many players it is a big deal not getting high if it wasn't they would not continue to waste time with it and allow it to tarnish their careers. Any substance that has that kind of control is a problem

I don't care about polls. You will probably win in a few highly populated Liberal states but not in the red state South my friend.
Well, at least in my lifetime...

Yeah, it's called the Military Industrial Complex, where ya been?:D Under conservative leadership and ideology, we went into wars for profit? Been going on since WW II...

Are there companies that fire people for having a drink at home?

I don't see anyone advocating getting inebriated at work or in the driver's seat.

Step one was a science experiment - you brought science into it so just answer the question. Caffiene is addictive and I am on my second cup today so science tells me that it is a drug like nicotine which is legal. Smoking effects others, that is why it is illegal to smoke in certain places. Alcohol abuse effects other so that is why DUI and public drunkeness is illegal.

Mind altering drugs can very well effect others - do you dsagree?

Alaska is a red state? See ya dodged that one earlier:D Oh the good ol South, why didn't you just say that so we knew not to bother, etc.?

Tell that to the people in Colorado, Washington, DC, etc.

All we need is a conservative Republican President and new Justice department task force and all those garden pot houses will
fold like a cheap suit.
