Well, people here still think he is the best back in the league, sure Minny somewhat thinks that too. And Minny has an up and coming QB that needs that run support.

It'd really a matter of roster construction. They spent a 3rd round pick last year on a rb (and this is obviously before AD's problems).

And if you feel you aren't in contention right now it could be prudent to move on.

Realistically when Minny is ready to compete for a championship AD will be done. Why pay 12M now when that could go into shoring up other areas for the future?

Ok. Just give up on the season. Maybe the Cowboys should have given up before the season started last year too. Since everyone said they had no chance.

What if Peterson is telling the Vikings he'd like a fresh start in Dallas? Would you still want to keep him around knowing he's not mentally there anymore?

To me this is the key to the whole deal. If Peterson truly desires to play in Dallas, it'll get done.

What if he wants to play with the new qb in Minny. That's a fresh start.

If that's the case, he won't go anywhere. But you dodged my question. What if the phone call was legit and Peterson truly wants to play in Dallas? Why would you want that player, with his baggage, around your locker room if his heart isn't in it anymore?

I did answer. You said fresh start. I said the team Minny has with it's new qb.

Clearly you don't want to discuss the possibilities.

Adding a new QB to the same team, same city, same executives isn't exactly the same fresh start as playing for another team.

I'll leave it to Peterson's opinion I guess.

He's not worth talking to about it, considering his responses.

Hey, I yearn for a fresh start. Something new at this crossroad of my life.

I sure hope my team drafts a new QB.

Yeah, whatever point he's trying to make isn't working.
