Fair enough but in this case Bosa or Ramsey will not have the impact that EE will and if they are decent players then there is no guarantee we will keep them past 5 years anyway due to the cap restraints. How would you feel if Bosa became Ellis and Ramsey became George Teague or even Roy Williams while EE became AP again risk vs reward. A safety at 4 (/unless he is Reed or Shaun Taylor) or A D lineman unless he is Watt or Ware etc is not worth it imho. Bosa and Ramsey are neither of them based on stats and tape whereas EE based on tape AND stats could be something very special, plus he would have the unique opportunity to personally extend Romo's career. I really think Zeke should be the pick ( I would prefer Wentz but ummm yea damn Philly)

I think Bosa is an elite prospect, but I can see why some don't. As far as Ramsey goes - how is a S at 4 not worth it but a RB is? That doesn't make sense to me. It's fine to like Elliot more, but it seems like an odd justification to bring up positional value when arguing for a RB.

It's not a crapshoot. The trend is clear; RBs have a shorter shelf life and are hurt more often than other positions. Yes, there are outliers. But that doesn't discredit the data. There's a reason RBs get paid less than other positions; there's a reason RBs are drafted later than other positions. They take a beating and wear out sooner and are hurt more often because of that beating.

Yep, we all remember playing kill the man with the ball as kids. Well, RB is that guy, a lot.

There is simply no excuse why Zeke shouldn't be a Cowboy in a few days.

Of course there is.

Anyone can run behind this line.

We have McFadden and Morris.

This is a passing league, no reason to take an elite RB.

Three built in ones ready to use.

From what I can quickly check on, he has three lost fumbles.

Ok thanks. I tried to find something but only saw some stats that said zero fumbles in 3 years. So I was a little confused.

I don't feel like looking it up again, but there is an article that stated he was up there, but if you wanted a back who legitimately never fumbles, you want Kelvin Taylor.

It also pointed out that Alex Collins and especially Kenyon Drake had serious ball security issues.

I didn't say a safety wasn't worth 4, I even gave you 2 that were. Ramsey is not worth 4 in my opinion. The effect he will have compared to EE is minimal I'm my opinion. Ramsey is a decent player in my opinion I just see Zeke as a better one for this team in the long run.

I found a site now that is showing his 3 fumbles.

In 35 games at Ohio State, Ezekiel Elliott fumbled the football zero times.

hmm that would be an awesome stat! unfortunately not true as has been pointed out by a few members.

He fumbled 5 times carrying the ball

2013 0 fumbles
2014 2 fumbles 1 lost (vs ALA)
2015 2 fumble 2 lost (@VT, vs NIU)

All those pining over Zeke better never have been those who hammered Jerry on liking shiny objects at the detriment to the Cowboys.

Zeke will impact this team higher than any other draft pick. Offensively, we'll be more balanced than 2014 - especially with the emergence of Cole Beastly. We'll dominate TOP with Zeke/Morris notching well over 2,000 yards. TOP also keeps our defense on the sideline. This is a must with 3 of our best pass rushers out 4 games (hopefully we're "forced" to bring Hardy back to bolster our pass rush somewhat). Romo is protected with a strong running game. It's hard to get hit handing off 30-35 times a game. Dez benefits too. Just when the defense commits that 8th or 9th man to stop the run, Dez is winning one on one matchups, with Witt working the middle like he usually does. Etc, etc.

Zeke behind our OL will be the 2nd coming of Thurman Thomas too. We have several needs, but having Zeke in our backfield helps stem the tide until we get all of our pass rushers back.

If Johnny Football stays in the Dallas area.......will he invite Zeke to his parties, probably ran into each other in the Ohio night life already........sounds like Zeke has a propensity to enjoy the "ecstasy" of the party life.

Hard for JF to do that from jail. ;)

You know...the world has changed a lot in a decade.
The real world not the football world. Same stuff that was winning then is winning now. Only difference everybody has more platforms to parrot other people's views. If your going to help it really doesn't matter where your picked to me but I know a lot disagree with that. Its ok that's the fun of sites like this one.
