Just an example.
A poor example.
Just an example.
Just an example.
I'm fine with "diggin deeper" especially into your apples to oranges examples where you gave me two 3-4 outside linebackers and a defensive tackle for your 'evidence' for a 4-3 defensive end. And apparently Hardy can get criticized for 6 sacks in 12 games, but you want to praise the rookies for what? 8 sacks? Not hypocritical at all...
You mean the guy who wasn't seeing the double-teams thanks to Hardy? The one coming off of back surgery? That guy?
Oh? When did you get the idea that I needed to "prove anything" to you? Consider everything I post there for anyone and everyone else.
And feel free to put me on ignore if you can't handle the facts I bring to the conversation.

"Apples an oranges"
Original quote - " rookie pass rushers don't put up big numbers", you got examples of defensive players that prove you wrong. "Apples and oranges"
Hardy WASN'T getting double teamed for a good portion of the season. No matter how many times you say this, it doesn't make it true.
A poor example.
For those of you upset that Dallas hasn't been spending on FA's -- I am very proud of them thus far in FA.
BTW, are we ever not .500
This really is the moral of the story. Draft better. Develop better.

Is there a complete list anywhere?
Where are the Pats, Giants(2 SBs in a decade), Denver, Seattle, etc
Haha, now it's "Bruh, I was talking strictly 4-3 DE".
And what "numbers"? You have film to show you who and who wasn't getting doubled.
Greg Hardy, 6 sacks, 7 hurries

We've been "drafting better" for the last 25 years (GM Jerry Jones)
We've been "developing better" for the last 6 years (HC Jason Garrett)
8-8 to 4-12
Not working
Well in fairness, how are Von Miller and Aldon Smith applicable to a discussion about the Cowboys needing pass rushing defensive ends in their 4-3?
In other words, if we had taken Von Miller and played him at WILL................ guess what?
He wouldn't be sniffing the sack numbers he had.
Because he didn't say "4-3 defensive ends" - he said ROOKIE PASS RUSHERS.
And once again, you tried to make a point rookie pass rushers don't make an impact. I gave him names, end of discussion until he retracts his initial point.

OK, so he then clarified.
Name for him the 4-3 defensive ends who have come out and been dominant pass rushing ends right from their rookie years?

Oh, I'm sorry. Did you need help in understanding what position Joey Bosa plays? I didn't realize that I needed to be more clear for some people. I'll try to simplify things in the future do you don't get confused.
Yeah, numbers to support your baseless claims that Hardy wasn't the guy getting double-teamed. Actually backing up your claim.
Refute what everyone - including the head coach - knows to be true:
"Greg gets a lot of attention from opposing offenses," Garrett said. "There are certainly some opportunities for him to go one-on-one against guys, but typically, there's a back chipping or there's a tight end over there or there's a double-team.
"If you're among the best defensive linemen in the league, that's the kind of attention you get. He's used to that. He has to fight through that and still be productive, and the guys around him have to be productive and take advantage of their opportunities."
Well, that hasn't happened. Tyrone Crawford, Jeremy Mincey, DeMarcus Lawrence and Randy Gregory have combined for just seven sacks, so there's no need for teams to adjust how they're blocking Hardy.
You're the guy claiming that Hardy wasn't the guy being double-teamed, produce evidence to support your claim or shut up!

It's not up to me to read clarify your statements, that's on you.
You just asked for numbers! I provide them, and now you're pissed because they aren't in line with you?
Wait, wait, wait. NOW Garrett is your beacon of knowledge? Now his quotes are credible? Dude, this is making me laugh.
"Produce evidence" - What evidence are YOU providing, statements from Garrett? Haha
