WOW ....the righteous have taken center stage on this one......anyone who has eaten meat, gone fishing, gone hunting, supports the rodeo or circus is just as guilty of animal cruelty ...unless you think shooting a deer with an arrow watching it limp off for a hundred yards and fall just for the hunter to walk up and stab it in the throat, then throw it on an ATV string it upside down from a tree and gut and cut it into pieces to eat is perfectly humane......
for dog lovers it just strikes a nerve cause so many have family dogs.....but Vick is human and humans are more important than ANY animal...yes he broke the law ...he also did more time than most would have for the same crime because of his celebrity status....hes paid his debt ..now the righteous should leave him alone and go eat a hamburger..if they can find one that was killed in a humane way.......

However, the deer population is huge, and they get run over every day. It is legal to hunt them, because people eat them. It helps control their population. People don't eat dogs in the United States.


When I catch my 2 pound, 12 ounce white crappy or my 5 lb largemouth bass, I am not throwing puppies to trained killers. I am participating in a sport, and you get to eat them.

You can't equate dogs to fish or chicken or cows or pigs.

He did get punished, and he has to move on with his life. I just hope he sees that what he did was beyond wrong. It was barbaric.

I don't like deer hunting. It's not for me, and I don't like to watch it. However, deer hunting and turkey hunting is really big, and many people do it, but they eat the food.

Yes, he did his time, but the distraction to whatever team he hooks up with next... it too will be egregious... (nice word btw). We don't need that here. We just got rid of most of the distracting, problem children. We don't need ONE that will be more of a distraction that all the ones we let go put together. No thanks.

I agree. This team has a lot of good characters on it now that T.O. is gone. Adding Vick would be counter-productive.

nice excuses youve made for your self...so its ok to hurt SOME animals only the ones you choose?....I realize the difference but

i assume youve used smaller fish to feed to the carnivorous fish.....I saltwater fish and i dont consider it a sport ...its a recreation,,dog fighting is considered a sport to some, and people do eat dogs......

I am sick of those saying he made a mistake. He CHOSE to involve himself in a disgusting obscene animal abusive BUSINESS for at least 5 years. That is a pattern of behavior and lack of moral foundation. Hundreds of dogs died brutally and in great pain. Read the indictments and the descriptions of how many of those dogs were killed by Vick and his cronies. Read about the lost pets and dog pound refugees that were thrown into fighting pits to "train"
the fighting dogs. Those poor pets and weak dogs were TORN TO PIECES.
FIVE years at least. Weekly and daily.

When you're job choice has a labor poll of less that 1000 people that are qualified across the country then get back to me. The NFL is not most companies in any way shape or form.

I honestly laugh at the, 'my company would blackball me so should the NFL' argument. Vick can do things that only a fraction of a percentage point can do. Like it or not that is how it is.

your entire argument is essentially me and others like dogs therefore they should have rights. the only thing is that if you actually ever saw the lengths that a doe will go to to protect its fawn or pretty much any other mammal and it should be apparent to anyone with empathy that deer and other mammals demonstrate just as similar 'human' traits as do dogs.

This is what it boils down to me for as well. Vick would be much better fit in a smaller market where he'll get less scrutiny. Vick in Dallas wouldn't be good for us or him.

The clause that most important is the one a tthe end of the players contract.

My favorite part is that the hearing is held by the commissioner. IOW, Goodell can do whatever he wants for whatever reason and the only person he has to answer to is himself. Every player has to sign it and Upshaw might as well given it up on a silver platter.

It is an understood law that cats, dogs, and horses are protected species from abuse. Who is Vick to think he is above the law?

What does deer and cows have to do with it really? Cows are slaughtered for food, do I care how? no. And before you try and slap the death penalty thing at me, I will answer that too. If you deserve death penalty, then you should be put to death and it does not matter to me how quick or painful it is.
