Favorite 80's video you used to watch on mtv

A Goddess from the 80s video revolution....

I also love Burnin' Up and Like A Virgin, but they might not be allowed on here due to racy content.:muttley:

The most misunderstood video on MTV...

It isn't a love song, it's about a stalker.

I remember watching the first video aired on MTV. Heck, cable wasn't even a standard at that time. One of my buddies had cable and we all went over to watch. I remember it started with a shot of a rocket launching, "Ladies and Gentleman...... Rock and Roll", intros of the DJs and then, Video Killed the Radio Star. Boy was that ever true.

We all stayed up, ate Pizza and watched MTV. It was a big deal, I remember we had practice the next morning so we were all beat. As I recall, that was a miserable day. LOL........

Wouldn't trade a second of it for anything.

It was a huge deal. Before our local cable company picked up MTV the only way to watch videos was on Night Tracks on the weekends. When we finally got it it was like a whole new world opened up.
My biggest memory of it was getting out of practice and hauling butt home to see if Home Sweet Home was still number 1 on Dial MTV. They really should have changed the name of it when they went the reality TV route and let MTV keep the legacy it had with the kids that grew up in the era of music television.

I just wanted to see videos my favorite bands in concert, never really cared for all the other stuff.

Madonna was so much better early on. Her later stuff just not the same. Bummer.....

Loved early MTV... It was so rough and unpolished which made it a joy to watch.

No one has listed "Relax" by "Frankie Goes to Hollywood".

I also didn't see any "ZZ Top" videos listed... Excellent.

Glad to see "Take On Me" listed... I was mesmerized by that video.

For me following music sorted ended with the 80's.
