The Cowboys won't sign him.
This has been going on for days now. If the Cowboys wanted him then they would have already signed him. Usually when it takes this long to sign a player another team comes along and gets him.
How many time have we seen that exact situation happen?
That's what most people said when Kayzee left Dallas for a Detroit visit. Not saying it will happen but there seems to be a lot of issues that have to be worked through if they were to move forward.
Word is KJ wants a 2 year deal and Dallas wants 1, there seems to be some debate internally whether he is the correct signing now that Neal is OB and then you get to the money part of it. I guess we will see.
KJ clearly is on the record that he wants market value with no discounts, which I have to believe is in the $6M to $7M a year range based on his last 2 year deal, which would be last years cap kind of numbers, most players are not getting that is this COVID cap year.
We are not the only team that is not signing him, seems to me in this COVID cap year the 2 year term and price are sticking points most likely for most teams that have a interest or he would be signed already because he is a very good player.
If KJ sticks to his guns he may not have a deal until after the draft as a team finds itself in a position that they did not get the LB they thought they would in the draft.
Just reading tea leafs, but seems to be going that way.
