I never said that I wanted to see him get hurt....I don't even like to see other teams players get hurt (except for T.O) but it forces us to find a solution to a serious problem rather than being forced to keep a big name, big salary but marginal player on the field.

I remember that but I thought Petitti was in he and FA kept getting FS and holding pen's I don't remember Tucker even being in then could be wrong but don't think so....

No no...it was Tucker. I remember the announcers ripping him a new and did not think he would make the final roster because of that performance alone. I think it was Troy...he was talking about his ability, but the fact he could not stop making mental mistakes, then that happened...

I wish I could agree....but the sound you hear is corks popping at the Wistrom home.:(

Hey...I'm only 150 miles south...I heard the cork pop from here. :lmao:

Winstrom is licking his chops...don't think his reps at practice are not going to be intense now.

The trading deadline is tomorrow. I think now we have no choice but to overpay for somebody's backup LT.

Chicken littles........... Look what PARCELLS did with a 6th round pick..PETTITI.. he even says he would want to be stranded on an island with coach!!!!!!

Can he find another one?? I think he can.

Heck.... to hear you guys (and gals) we might as well pack it in and not play another game. Season over, Bledsoe killed, running game stuffed..... geez, let's see what happens before we pack it in........ :bang2: :bang2: :bang2:

In fairness to him, he never said or really implied he was happy Flo was hurt. He only said it wasn't a big deal for the Cowboys as a team.
Um this is the title of the thread

To me when you say something is a good thing it normally means your happy about it.

Injury is a reality of this game. All teams get them.
I don't think this is a "good thing". But the drop off may not be as big as some are imagining.

We have no choice - he's gone. Time to move on. Tucker just might suprise some folks.

Flozell has singlehandedly stopped more drives for us the last two years than any other 3 players combined. Everytime I see a yellow hankie I just know that I'm gonna hear "False start #76...offense" or "Holding #76...offense". People saying he is a top 5 Left tackle makes me want to puke. If he isn't drive blocking someone he is worthless. Sometimes he is worthless doing that! :bang2:

"Quincy Carter is a great QB"
"Dave Campo just needed one more yr"
"Tyson Thompson is better than Julius Jones"

be careful what you wish for...Flozelle Adams is a probowl LT folks, he's by far this teams best OL

Yeah and I tried to convince myself that Woodson was over the hill and losing him wouldn't effect us that much either.

When you lose good players, it hurts. End of discussion.

and when you lsoe good players who make the probowl at critical positons, its even worse...

Bledsoe cant be happy today

when a marginal player is hurt and in the process a long term solution is found it is a good thing. Something can be good for someone of someTEAM without jumping for joy about it (see ripping off the band aid). If you feel better about putting words in my mouth feel free. But the title of the thread is Flo being hurt is a good thing NOT Flo being hurt makes me want to dance with unbounded joy and glee. Sheesh! :lmao:

I don't think those of us that are really concerned about this are packing it in...i'm certainly not, but don't think for one minute you can replace your LT with a crappy one at best and just move on. This impacts the game plan and plays that are called etc etc......it WILL have a domino effect. I do think we will figure something out and are strong enough to continue the win streak, but some things will be impacted....

No kidding. Believe me, Flo would drive me up the friggin wall with some of his inconsistent play, but I definitely think he's far and away the best guy we have at LT. This is a serious loss.

I was thinking of a different game. I was thinking about the opening drive where we ended up in our own endzone. I don't remember if it was seattle or SD but I'm pretty sure it was one of those. We had FS's against FA and Petitti then holding against FA then some other flag I think another FS.

Tough break with Adams. It's going to be hard to replace him, but good teams find a way to overcome difficult situation and still be able to win. Hopefully Tucker can step up and go a decent job.

Maybe I am reading too much into it, but with these recent injuries, I have seen way too many comments along the lines of "now so and so can play". Maybe its just optimism on the posters part, but I hate to lose starters. They are starters for a reason. Especially when it is leaders like Nguyen and inspiring hard workers like Crayton who were showing a penchant for big plays.

I've always kind of liked Tucker, but I would feel much more comfortable with Flozell over there.

Remember the problems running right last year?
