The only think I can think of that is a positive out of the injury to Flozell Adams is that alot of the premium pass rushers in our division play Left End. Even though the Giants like to move Strahan around.

I don't think those of us that are really concerned about this are packing it in...i'm certainly not, but don't think for one minute you can replace your LT with a crappy one at best and just move on. This impacts the game plan and plays that are called etc etc......it WILL have a domino effect. I do think we will figure something out and are strong enough to continue the win streak, but some things will be impacted....

of course BILL will figure it out.... will Bill make adjustments? sure he will. I don't think it's all gloom and doom at this point. Parcells will get the best out of his players. I don't think he kept tucker around just because. How many sacks were rendered to Bledsoe one his blind side after Flo left the game yesterday? Lets let this thing play out before we "pack it in"......

I happen to think that Flozell and Larry Allen are two of the more overrated players in the league, at times. But I also have enough good sense to know that this injury hurts.

Having said that, I don't think this is a reason to throw in the towel on the season. You put someone else there, and you keep on going.

I'm pretty sure teams have been moving rushers to Petitti's side sometimes if they're not already playing LE, since they know he's a rookie in a new position. Now they'll be attacking both sides. Let's not pretend that Flozell was well known for stopping speed rushers anyway, but by no means is this really a good thing.

I understand that. But Kearse and Strahan naturally play the Strong Side.

Kearse was invisible in week 5. Strahan looked good, he abused Petitti a little.

I understand that because we had him doubled and some of the replays showed Keyshawn getting a crack on him every now and then.

I am just making the point that maybe Tucker doesn't have to go up against ELITE competition in the division.

If they decide to move Strahan over there, heck we just move Campbell over there with him and I am sure Petitti can handle a lesser pass rusher at this point.

As thin as this team is on the OL..........Well... anyone of the starters getting injured is very bad news.

Injury is a reality of this game. All teams get them.
I don't think this is a "good thing". But the drop off may not be as big as some are imagining.

We have no choice - he's gone. Time to move on. Tucker just might suprise some folks.

Agreed!

I wasn't happy when I saw the news of Adams being out..BUT every team has injuries and we are just going to have to deal with it!

No reason at all to pack in the season!

The Patriots have multiple injuries and no one is throwing in the towel there.

Suck it up...Get tough...and lets GO COWBOYS!

What are the odds of Dallas trading for Bryant McKinnie?

I'm guessing ten million to one.

This isn't when we find out what kind of LT Tucker can be. It isn't the week we find out if a trade can happen. It isn't the week we find out if a street FA can come in and save the day.

This is the week we see if Parcells is truly worthy of all his accolades. Great coaches find ways to overcome even devastating injuries.

Let's wait and see what Parcells does. Does he see enough in Tucker to think he can win with him out there? Is there someone else he can trade for that would do the same? Does he see some FA capable of weathering the storm?

This is bad, bad news. It doesn't mean all is lost, however. This loss should come out all right if our coach is truly superior. Whether that means they've coached Tucker to the point he can play or any of the other senarios. I', watching to see how Parcells handles this one.

There is nothing good about losing your starting LT there is a reason he is starting he is the best player we have at that position. Spin it anyway you want, it still hurts.

Flozell has singlehandedly stopped more drives for us the last two years than any other 3 players combined. Everytime I see a yellow hankie I just know that I'm gonna hear "False start #76...offense" or "Holding #76...offense". People saying he is a top 5 Left tackle makes me want to puke. If he isn't drive blocking someone he is worthless. Sometimes he is worthless doing that! :bang2:

Mad Props to you. If there is a vote for stupidest thread of the year award this should easily finish in the top 3 stupides threads of the year.

I have had some complaints about Flozelle. But some of those penalties on him have been total BS. Sometimes he pancakes someone so hard he gets penalized. When I have seen him get penalized many times I have said ***.....and no the the *** is not about Flozelle it is about the bad call on him.

He does make mistakes but so does every OL.

Heck Al Johnson and Marco Rivera killed more drives and cost us more points in the Giants game then Adams has his entire time here.

Those of you who bash Adams will real fast find out what a big loss he is. Adams is a big reason Bledsoe gets as much time has he usually does.

IMO I think the only thing worse then losing Flozelle on offense would be losing Bledsoe or Larry Allen. That is it.

We lost JJ for a game but our running game did ok. If we lose one of our WRs we have good depth for another to take over.

Losing Adams is a major hit to this team. You just do not replace a Pro Bowler like him.

We will see how you feel in 4 weeks after you get used to seeing Bledsoe get almost no time to throw.

I think that Torrin Tucker could hold his own, but we will have to get an insurance policy in Aaron Gibson, Chris Terry, or Ross Verbra..

Hey....let's sign Mike Wahle...he's versatile enough to play G and T....oh, wait...that's right...we signed Rivera instead.

:)

It's football. Injuries happen. I think Parcells goes with someone already on the roster and perhaps brings in a vet as insurance.

its not as if we're jamming it down the opponents throats this year running over Flo. He's missed a few reads resulting in Drew getting drilled. His penalties are documented.

This is something the TEAM can overcome.
