Flurry of activity gets fan interest up

Jerry has officially turned into that guy who drank from the wrong cup in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade

Something about Aztec, huh...

DLaw won't give us 5 games probably. Easy pass
If he re-signs, the box area will go under a transformation. He will be very good. Not a popularity contest for a dart.

He is a Cowboy!

Additional cap space can help the Cowboys on several fronts .

Then Jerry opens his mouth we are not going to be aggressive in Free Agency! This man needs to go !

So we make moves, signing players, restructuring to gain cap space. There is talk that 37m is coming when Daks deal is redone. Another 18m if Parsons gets extended.

Stephen says we will be selectively aggressive…leaving people guessing. Jerry and Dak say this team is close so we aren’t rebuilding according to them.

Fans are talking Cowboys again. It appears Jerry heard the complaints from last year and realizes it is time to poop or get off the pot.

But what if….it is the same old same old? Resigning guys that haven’t got it done in the past. Bargain bin shopping.

Will this be more of a slap in the face of the fans than last year?
We like our guys.

Reality is this time of year last off-season we were doing nothing almost. No urgency. This right now is the polar opposite of what we saw last year. I see a change. Something is coming.
we’re getting seahawks wr: Tyler Lockett :muttley:

Pointless to debate DLaw's asking price if we don't know what it is IMO. He played for 10M last year.
What we should all very much understand by now is you win games with talent and depth.
Turning our nose up at players is fine if it gets us a better option.
Kneeland was flat awful last year though, and he needs to be a backup unless he can play a lot better.
DLaw is at best a stop gap but a stop gap beats no gap.

And the picture became clear that he did just to have a barganing chip on his HC he wanted to bring back and it blew up in his face...what a clown jerry has become.
I'm not even convinced he ever wanted to bring Mike back.
He certainly didn't have any real competition as Mike only got 2 interviews and lost out on both.
It was so bad in every direction like an absolute no plan tilt-a-whirl as the decision-maker.

I would have been fine with a tank season.
I would have been fine with a true all-in season.
I would have been fine with a status quo season.

We did a sign the stars to massive money but late as humanly possible, move on from all the solid guys in the middle of the roster and let the staff coach as dead men walking.

What interest?

Same stuff yesterday, same stuff today, same stuff tomorrow.

OSA signed
Parsons getting his deal

That’s it….
We run it back with what we had last season

If you are expecting Dallas to bring in another mega star who will want 30+ million per year to stay here, that ain’t happening.

I think we will see more action in tier 2 and look to sign some role players prior to the draft, but even then don’t expect Dallas to overpay and sign B players to A money.

I think Stephen would define re-signing Osa for $80 million as being selectively aggressive.
I don't know about aggressive but I guess it's better than letting him go to a division rival and give us a hard way to go.

That said it isn't like we just signed Chris Jones or something

Let's pretend this is the year we spend on FA......typical Cowboys decision to even get this wrong.

The time was either 2 years ago or 2 years from now. I can't see 2 or 3 FAs doing enough to take us beyond Wasington and certainly not Philly in 2025.

May as well wait this out!

I hope I'm wrong!
You're not wrong we need to exhaust Prescott's contract and while this is going on build the trenches on either side of the ball and a running game so when we draft a new franchise quarterback he has every opportunity to succeed

2-3 seasons with 5 wins or less is the only thing that will spark my interest. Wash…rinse…repeat! 30 years and our fan base is still the most gullible in the league.

6 of the free agents are important pieces for the team.
As to projecting here and now,

Cowboys restructure Prescott and Lamb deals, but any impact on free agency is murky only as it requires time to observe.

The team will not leave a functional hole, and that goes without tears.

The money and draft are both there for use.
