I’ve always felt Stafford was a great QB. You’re attempting to create a narrative that doesn’t exist.

I didn’t not say he changed from Detroit to LA, he’s the same guy given a superior opportunity. So your assessment that the team around him is how he did what he did I never once disputed. That’s the narrative you want so you can lecture, but people proclaiming that is simply not the case.

That, however, does not change the reality that Matt is why they won the Super Bowl. No clearer representation of this exists than when they had Jared Goff the year prior and how the team took a dramatic leap by trading for Matt.

Dallas has a roster that is capable of contending for a championship if they made a similar QB leap; that was the point of the previous poster. LA may have superior talent to Dallas, but Cincinnati does not (or at least did not in 2021). Burrow was the difference there.

Nope....................you said all the right things and made the wrong conclusion. Stafford was the missing link to their SB, but he is NOT the sole reason or reason they won.

And no Burrows was NOT the difference maker. Again, common misconception for people that think QB's do everything.

The DEFENSE carried the team and the kicker was the MVP. Burrows made some plays, but it was the defense and kicker that carried the team.

Im not a Big Crunch time believer myself. People always promote players who come out in the clutch, but the whole reason that occurs is because they didn’t put their opponent away any earlier. It’s the Michael Jordan/Lebron James thing. “Michael Jordan is better on the last shot!” Yeah but Lebron James has won more blowout games than any player in NBA history, by far. His job was done midway through the third.

I don’t blame Dak at all for that last play. 2 more seconds on the clock and it goes fine. The run, the ref issue, the field position, the circumstance of the game was much more a result of everything that happened prior than that one moment for Prescott. It’s an exciting moment, but it’s worth exactly the same in the grand scheme as a handoff or a quick out or a goofy penalty in the first quarter. Any of those could have changed the result as much as that 2 seconds.

LOL..........at your lebron blowout thing. Lebron has lost more championships than he has won. He doesnt hold a candle to the 6-0 Jordan.

Lebron basically fed off a weak eastern conference and made the finals 9 times in a row. And lost most of the time. And this from a guy that basically has jumped around forming super teams bringing stud players together and stacking the deck in his favor.

I'd be fine with it.

It won't change my mind, but I will be fine with it.

If he's not in it will you care and will that change your opinion? No it wouldn't.

Thats just the thing my friend. The NFL statisticians don't rank based on opinions, they rank based on production mathematics. Its hard to argue with actual facts.

Bill Parcells used to say you are what your record says you are. The same pretty much goes for where your production rank you. Production isn't opinions, it is facts because it actually happened.

If the chart is showing Dak ranked 6th I don’t think he’s proven that but he does qualify on third tier

That looks about right. The top 3 are unquestioned and for good reason.

You'd like to see Herbert play a little more efficiently. He tossed 1 less TD than Dak but with 5 more INT. Yet his overall ball security was a big plus compared to Dak. Only 1 fumble.
Josh Allen needs to play a regular season like he did the post season but the talent is there to ascend to the top grouping when Brady retires.
Dak can easily enter the A tier with better ball security and some more impact rushing plays. Those are things he has shown so certainly possible to recover to his game.

He has absolutely proven he is anywhere from 6-10 on QB rankings. By any metric, or eye test Dak is one of the best in the NFL.

And its not like this is the ONLY ranking that has Dak between 5-10. THEY ALL DO!!

So the bottom line is guys that have said Dak wasnt talented enough to be a top 10 QB or refuse to admit it now have all been proven dead wrong.

Herbert has done very little for him to be in front of Dak. Now those of us that understand QB play see the talent in the kid. But he has been a questionable 4th quarter QB and his teams have had poor 2nd halves of the year both years.

Personally, if I am starting a football team today, I take Herbert over Dak for the upside and youth.

Ball security? Dak is one of the best in the NFL when it comes to avoiding throwing the killer picks.

Impact rushing plays? Dak is typically running for 6 TD's a year. Are you really concerned about one year coming off a major ankle injury and calf strain?

Tell us where you rank Dak among NFL starting QBs. Go ahead.

(Just so we can laugh at you when NFL players, coaches and execs rank him in their top 10)

We have laughing at him for years now.

You know this from your vast experience of being that same person.....

All someone has to do is pay attention to your laughable little hissy fits every time one of these rankings comes out agreeing with the Dak faithful that he is top 10.

Its like a board past time kicking you around the board when you try to claim otherwise.

So just for the record where do you have Dak ranked in your QB ranking?

Speaking out against Dak means you don't understand football. Interesting....

Speaking out against Dak makes you a Romoholic. Also interesting...

NO, saying something stupid that makes the entire board laugh in your face means you dont understand football. Doing that over and over again makes you a troll.

Most Dak haters are Romo lovers that still havent gotten over the fact that Dak out played him and won the job. I would be more than willing to bet you are as well.

So please make us all laugh and give us Dak's QB ranking in that QB guru mind of yours. :muttley:
