Only 7th? Not even kidding that's a pretty good spot for Romo compared to previous years.

"Not some playboy out on the town". Ok now were getting somewhere. That is underlying reason you hate Romo, brother let it go; your like an open book. We are all brothers here and can help you get through this.

Some of you need to let it go I make a comment about Staubach not being hated and some of you want to turn it into another Romo argument. That hate list isn't my list so go take your frustrations out on Forbes.

Your hate for Romo seeps right through you brother. Its getting Kind of amusing, can't wait for your next dis, get out popcorn guys.

Sorry pal but I didn't take part in that survey. Just because because Romo keeps ending up on hate lists there's no need to attack me.

that list is bull because any list of hated players without Brandon jacobs on it is wrong.

Then once I point out to you that people in the Washington, D.C. and Philadelphia areas probably hated Staubach, you immediately shift to this instead because you've been disproven:

You're just one of those who keeps looking for an argument this has been going on for 2 weeks. There's a difference between rival fans hating/disliking a player because they're a good football player and are one of the reasons their team keeps getting knocked out of the playoffs and people simply not liking the person they are. Michael Vick is #1 on that hate list because he's a liar and dog killer.

Him being on that list has nothing to do with him as a "football player" it has to do with him as a person. Suh is on the list because he's a dirty player. Te'o is on the list because of his internet romance he lied about. Roethlisberger is on the list because most feel he got away with rape. The top 4 players on that list are disliked because of their character. Romo's character has nothing to do with why he's on that list.

Notice how you have shifted the talk? First it's, "can't remember anyone hating Staubach." Then it turns into, "Staubach was respected by many." Trying to shift your direction away from your earlier statement that you couldn't recall anyone hating Staubach.

The only one who's trying to shift things is you because you're looking for an argument. You have no business arguing with me about Roger Staubach when I was following the team during the Staubach era and you weren't. You didn't start following the Cowboys until 1999. Hating someone as a "player" and a "person" are two different things. It's only natural for FANS to hate a rival player that's been going on ever since sports teams were created. You boo players that's being a FAN. I didn't put Romo on that list nor did I start this thread to bring it to everyones attention so don't take it out on me.

Completely different time.

Roger wasn't liked because he was QB of the Cowboys. Today, he would get roasted much like Tebow. Roger was the poster boy for being a standup kinda guy. Roger and Landry would be demonized for having faith and standing up for it. Times have really changed when having faith is a bad thing.

Romo is on the list because of who he plays for and because the media likes to take a huge dump on him whenever they have a chance.

Seriously...the majority of people are so stupid they swallow everything the media regurgitates. It's sad really.

Thanks goodness that when it comes down to it this list is worth less than the toilet paper I flushed earlier today.

I don't know why anyone would hate someone they don't know personally, I generally don't hate the person, just them playing for my team.

I remember fans of other teams not liking Staubach and some of them hating his goody two shoes image, I myself became a loyal Cowboy fan at age 5 when he QBd us to a win in Super Bowl VI and this same image he portrayed is what made me his biggest fan. But one thing I don't remember is the Cowboys fan base ever hating him, I do remember a clamoring for Craig Morton over Staubach, but after that Super Bowl win that stopped. I don't remember any clamoring for Clint Longley or Danny White to replace Staubach......but that was a different age, no internet, 24/7 sports....so it could have happened......Imagine how the internet or this forum would have reacted after Longleys performance on Thanksgiving because remember the Cowboys finished 8-6 that year and missed the playoffs. But today the Romo hate is not only restricted to other fans it has penetrated our own Cowboy fan base...and it will probably always be like that.....whether he wins a Super bowl or not....look at some of the hate there still is for Troy.

There's no way Roger Staubach would have ended up on a most disliked/hated list during his playing days.

Seems that people disagree with you.

I remember Roger being very hated.
I remember fans of other teams not liking Staubach and some of them hating his goody two shoes image,
Vitriol hate for Staubach outside of Cowboy land.
People flat out could not stand him...and for no good reason except that Dallas was called (or called itself, according to many fan bases) America's Team and he was considered the extremely nerdly, goody two-shoes QB that some called captain America.

Growing up, I lived in Ohio, Virginia, North Carolina and New Orleans. Unless someone was a Cowboy fan, the could not stand Roger Staubach.
Don't remember anyone hating Roger Staubach he was one of the most popular players in history.
I was there. Oh did folks hate him.

There is more than a way. He was very hated. The Cowboys were very hated. Probably more than today.

Other than Vick being the dog killer, smuggling drug paraphernalia through airports, knowingly giving women STDs, flipping off fans and being a lousy QB, he is misunderstood and is a nice guy
