just a very sad thing on you and them. Very sad. That they are not smart enough to figure it out and take what mediots say as gospel. Apparently as you do.
What's very sad is FANS like you who are either in denial or simply refuse to come to grips with why Romo continues ending up on these lists. A least some here are clued up enough to know that it's the fans of his own team that help put him on these lists. No fan base has more fans than the Cowboys they're all over the country and they're divided on Romo. We see the division here and it's clear fans are split. Everyone knows he's an excellent QB during the regular season that's indisputable his numbers back it up but he's being judged on his big game performances and the standards Staubach and Aikman set winning multiple SB's. Not many things will cause a QB to be disrespected more than continuously folding in the games that matter most. There's a love/hate relationship with Romo amongst Cowboy fans. We all love his production but a majority of fans are frustrated that he can't play or produce to the same level in elimination games. It's about playoff wins and championships for some fans and it's about production and statistics for others. If Romo is productive FANS love him regardless if his numbers lead to nothing. Staubach was admired, respected and idolized for how clutch he was in critical games. He was a winner and people love winners.
Prior to Staubach the Cowboys could never get over the hump and it all changed when he became the QB. The same team that lost SB V won the SB the following year because Roger Staubach was the QB. He was blessed with the great ability to come up big when it really mattered in some impossible situations. Pressure brings out the best in some players and the worst in others. Pressure brought out the best in Staubach and it brings out the worst in Romo. Staubach was at his best when games were on the line. Opponents feared him especially in the final minutes. There wasn't a player during the 70's more popular and admired than Roger Staubach. The Book of Manning which aired a few weeks ago on ESPN showed Archie back in the 70's holding Peyton and a reporter asked him who his favorite player was and he said Roger Staubach.
That's the way it was during the 70's Staubach had more fans than any player in the NFL. Most of us became Cowboy fans because of Roger Staubach. He was magical when it really counted and Romo is the complete opposite. It's not the opponents that fear Romo in the final minutes of games it's the fans of his own team that fear he's going to screw up. He can play unbelievable for 58 minutes only to end up folding when it's all on the line. This is why he's so disrespected and the fans of his own team are so spilt on him. It's a FACT and if some of you are so blinded by your Romo sexuality that you think it's the media that's created this negative image of him and fans keep putting him on these hate lists all because he's the QB of the Dallas Cowboys then you're seriously in denial.
