Seems like a legit replacement for Hatcher. I'm all for it!

He's a poster boy for what the Cowboys are trying to do with their DL. Seattle signed him last year to a cheap deal and he started (at the 3) for the Super Bowl champs who had a killer rotational defense. (He started 15 games last year so did he miss the playoff run?)

I'm not saying he's some star, but I think he'd be a decent backup.

Besides, Orton has a pretty decent cap number. If we cut him and add Weeden, we could sign a couple more Terrell McClains.

Staying out of FA is not such a bad thing.....mostly.

Tell that to the Super Bowl Champ Seattle team from last year during FA. Tell that to the the SF team who has been busy for 5 years now and who go's to The NFC championship game every freekin year.
