I'm surprised that no one is going after the Pats' scouts, for example, THIS year.

Heck, I would.

I know the OC said he wouldn't interview until after the season ends, but why wouldn't Miami look at some of their scouts as well?

Maybe JJ will consider it?

that is true. *THIS* is the huge test now to see what jones does and what he's learned. but no, he can't stop people from making a career move. that wouldn't be cool at all.

I remember last year the Jerry bashers were convinced that Jerry was going to screw up the hiring process to replace BP. They were wrong. That makes two good hires at HC in a row for Jerry.

Now the Jerry bashers are convinced he will screw up hiring the scouts to replace Gaines and Ireland. Why? Because Jerry is some sort of incompetent doofus or some other nonsense.

Until Jerry screws the pooch in this particular situation, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt

Parcells, Ireland, Gaine all gone.....

When it's Jones, Lacewell, and Phillips making draft decisions, it'll be obvious how bad of a shape we're in.

It was inevitable Jones would destroy the team after Parcells left, I just didn't expect him to let is slide so quickly.

it seems when jones hires a dominate personality at coach, the coach gets all the credit and jones is still an idiot, even though he hired the very type of coach the haters said he'd never do.

That's all we can do. I'm a huge Jerry basher, but I will wait and see what he has learned. This ain't good though. He needs to start finding ways to say no.

The team is not destroyed nor is it inevitable.

I wonder if all these guys are looking to go to miami to rebuild that place and this time get the credit.

Here when ireland, sporano, gaine bowles etc... make a good decision it becomes or became Jerry or Parcells being smart football people.

Now its going to be, that Jeff Ireland and Brian gaine sure can build a roster and that Tony Sporano, paul pasqualoni and Todd Bowles sure can coach.

Direct credit and no Name above them to take the credit.

Oh and pasqualoni will be there with bowles after our season is over. I hope they dont take kacy rodgers too.

They may even take jim jurazek for gods sake too.

There is a thought out there that bill is sticking it to jerry for forcing owens on him and then making parcells not want to stay. I personally dont buy it.

I think as alexander said, all these guys love working with parcells and more importantly they like working with each other and that is what they will be doing this time without bill or jerry getting the credit.

We probably can say goodbye to picking up gems like austin, coleman, hoyte, hurd and bowen. Those are all directly related to gaine-ireland-parcells.

I think that most people fear that he WAS a doofus based upon the sickening drafts (excluding a few very good players) from '94-'00, and some us fear that we'll all wake up from the great dream is now and doofus Jerry will somehow have returned.

Hopefully, that won't be the case.

All I'm saying is that since the close of the 2002 season, Jerry's front office and coaching hires/promotions have been spot on.
