lol, nah.

BUT, the hot dog would be WAYYY burnt, and there's no way he would be able to cover it with ketchup, no way he could cover it.

I say go back to the 4-3 for the playoffs.....it couldn't be any worse than our 3/4.

At least Zimmer knows that d.......I think

I'm on the wagon

Go back to the 4-3 for life. It's blasphemous to Landry that we don't run it anyway and its a superior defense. The 3-4 sucks and is a strange concept to begin with.

Tonights game should be all the evidence you need.

If we show another double safety blitz with 15 seconds left on the play clock, I am going to kill someone.

Agree with this 100%.

Can some reporter show the balls, just once to ask Parcells the tough questions....just once?

1.Are you in charge of play calling on defense?

2.If not, have you considered replacing the defensive coordinator?

3.If not, why?

4.Why is it this team's blitzes have less disguise than Brittany Spears privates?

5.Why can't you get pressure from anyone other than DWare?

Sorry no matter who is calling the the D, the one thing I came away sure of yesterday was we have no talent upfront, it can't be physical, I'm sure we are one of the top conditioned teams. Yet besides Ware is there really any body upfront who can put some heat on the QB, the time these QBs are getting to see the feild any secondary is going to get picked apart. There is only one real way to be a dominating defense and that is to create pressure upfront and our players aren't doing it they aren't beating one on one blocks. I watched Phillys D they was getting consistant pressure with their front four, it seems we were overmatched upfront on both sides of the ball.

I am a founding member of GROZ having helped start the movement back in the mid 90s when Zimrod was coaching our DBs to stay with the receivers but not to play the ball.

The guy's entire mentality is wrong for the NFL and he should have taken that Nebraska (?) job years ago when it was offered to him.

I was at one point a couple of months ago, and got off after re-looking at the games on tape.....it was loking to be more on the players.

However, since blitzes are taught via a blitz scheme, we have absolutely none. Our d-line has MAYBE one move. Coaches need to teach these players more than that. Showing blitz WELL before the play doesn't constitute a blitz to me.

The defense really isn't even being put into a position to make plays. We are so predictable and the Saints REALLY exposed it thanks to Payton.

Zimmer is not doing enough as the DC....that is plainly evident. There is no way that we should be giving up as many points, allowing average QB's to look like they are the greatest QB of all time everytime we play them etc.

Its BP's fault, he should have never went with Zimmer as is DC. With a new philospy and so many young players, it was unrealistic to think.

If Burnett actually does his job and covers the tight end, then it would not matter when the blitz is shown. Zimmer calls the double safety blitz and it is up to the players to execute. They are the ones that showed the blitz too soon, but if Burnett runs with the tight end it makes Garcia's job a little tougher. Burnett made it way too easy.

New guy here, nice forum.

Wasn't the hype for the switch to the 3-4 all about disguising blitzes and coverages and keeping other teams guessing as to who would be rushing the passers. Our 3-4 is sooo bland. It can't be all Zimmer's fault can it? It seems we run a 4-3 with Ware rushing from a standing position instead of down as an end.

I would have laughed at that suggestion not too long ago, but right now I agree. At least Ware would be attacking all the time and we would have a chance at a pass rush on 1st and 2nd down. Also Ferguson, was pretty good in the 4-3 at collapsing the pocket, which is what you need against quarterbacks like Brees and Garcia.

Bingo. We were terribly outcoached on both offense and defense yesterday. Our defensive weaknesses were exposed by Peyton and now Reid and you can bet Holmgren (and the Detroit coaching staff) is kicking his chops as well.

We don't have the horses to win the Superbowl. I realize that and can now fully appreciate a New Orleans-Chicago NFC Championship game. I would love to see at least one Cowboy victory in the playoffs, but I'm not holding out any serious hope. Outside of Tony Romo and at times Glenn and Owens we show no heart. I was stunned to see Witten actually run five yards after he caught the ball yesterday.

Ware's half-hearted jog to the QB after being offsides conviced me. This version of the 3-4 is a failure.

Ware knew he was off sides. The play should have been whistled dead and I could have sworn I did hear a whistle. The team played poorly enough to deserve much criticism, but you are just nitpicking if you are griping about Ware on that specific play. Heck, if Ware hits Garcia, they probably would have called a personal foul.

What if Philly had scored on that play?

I'm not singling out Ware; his reaction was a reflection of the defense as a whole. He gave up on the play having realized he was offsides. He should have jumped back-- even though he still would have been flagged-- or gone ahead and tackled Garcia. The give-up half lope was inexcusable and indicative of our defensive culture.

I have signed on to boththese bandwagons. But more especially the GROTA bandwagon. I think Parcells is the problem with Zimmer. He might be good, we just dont know cause Parcells wont allow him to unleash the hounds on opposing QBs. But just to be sure, lets GROTA!!!!
