Game 1: Steelers - 13 vs Titans - 10 *Final*

you said he was in his 7th season as a starter...thats false.....he cant put up stats or wins from the bench , and with Parcells there was no way he was gonna play ahead of Vinny or Drew until Parcells stubborn *** was convinced he had to.....

I didn't say this was his 7th year as a starter, I said his 7th year in the league.

This is why I don't like NFL overtime. The Steelers were awarded a free drive to win the game. What did they do to earn an extra free drive? Something needs to be tweaked....
I fault the Titans for going prevent. The only thing you prevent using that defense is preventing yourself from winning.

Coaching loss right there. Tenn took the the heat off of Ben R and gave him all day. Any QB would have led that comeback. Idiotic coaching would have been an improvement over what I just saw.

Steelers find ways to win, especially at home

I think it was more of the Titans finding a way to lose, they hit either of the 2 field goals they miss and it very could have never gone into OT.

Why the hell did they stop the blitz ?!?! It was working well then just let the Steelers pass all over them !

I'm saying a guy's career is what it is. If Romo didn't start until his 4th year it is because the coaches didn't think he was the best guy at the time. Aikman started from day 1 because he was the best QB on the roster from day 1. He earned what he got, from season 1 to season 7. Romo has earned what he has accomplished to this point, and when his career is over we can properly evaluate it. He is still a 7 year guy no matter how you cut it.

You're right he's earned it, but taking snaps with the scout team in practice versus playing in real games is DIFFERENT. Also, consider who the coach was - Bill Parcells. He seriously thought that Testaverde and Bledsoe were better options than Romo. Pure Madness.

To say that is a fair comparison is being intellectually dishonest, period.

No matter how many times you say that, it isn't true.

The Titans handed them that one with their Zimmer like defense at the end there

All 13 points the Steelers got came when they were dropping back not pressuring Ben. Pretty piss poor coaching if you ask me.

Romo is 29 years old and starting his 7th season. At the end of Aikman's 7th season he has 3 SB Rings.

See ST is third phase of the game...we have to remember that the Titans have a new D coordinator. Schwartz is now coaching the Lions and he was an agressive playcaller. This new D coordinator should have some good film to build on for their next game.

What is intellectually dishonest is taking a guy who has gone through 3 training camps, 3 pre-seasons, 3 seasons of film work, game preparation, learning from veterans ahead of him, and comparing him to a guy who played his 1st NFL game as an absolute rookie.

No matter how much you guys want Romo to have been a rookie 3 years ago, it just isn't true. It was simply his first year as a starter.

The Titans always seem to come up a little short in the big games.

not my conversation so i hate to jump in. but he could easily have meant that he was entering/starting his 7th year. not that he's started for 7 years
