Jon Snow's face when offered the chance of being legitimized and assuming wardenship of the North. THOSE FEELS. Also gotta give it to Stannis the Mannis - really starting to show leadership quality and that he could probably be an effective ruler (if a little dogmatic).

That said, Sam slapping down Janos was AWESOME.

I'm glad they basically decided in Episode 1 of this season that the books are no longer the roadmap. Show will stay interesting.

Stannis would be a great leader if not for Melisandre. The North (who worship the old gods) would never worship R'hllor, which would lead to Melisandre burning the non believers alive, thus there would be constant rebellion in the North as well as the Iron Isles who also hold a certain devotion to the drowned god. The other realms don't seem as dogmatic

From my understanding, people didn't want Stannis to be king long before Melissandre arrived because Stannis was a little too just. He chopped the fingers off a man who saved his life. I think that's why Renly and some others tried to be king after Robert died. I don't think they knew the extent of Melissandre and the Lord of Light. I think they just didn't think Stannis would be a good king. But I do agree, I think he seems like a just man. To be honest, I thought everyone seemed like a good leader besides the psycho Joffrey.

Renly seemed progessive, Robert had a good heart but lost his passion, Stannis was just but a bit rough, Ned was just and more kind hearted, Tommen seems nice but is young and easily manipulated, Tywin knew how to handle business and politics, Rob (Ned's son) was a fierce leader and strong motivator, Tyrion knew how to handle people and showed good leadership.

I guess that's why it's the Game of Thrones. You have to know how to play.

*yawn* ... Two episodes in and still waiting for something exciting to happen. How long do I have to wait for a major character to be killed off in a violent way? :)

I decided I wouldn't get attached to any character anymore as chances are they will die anyways..

I don't know how the timelines in the book match up with the timelines in the show at this point, but from reading the thread, you're about to face the loss of another major character.

Well, "loss" might be a strong word. The circumstances of the death are a bit mysterious and the book just leaves it there while we wait for the next one.

Is a man Jaqen H'ghar? Game of Thrones actor talks his character's return and his big, secret agenda

Even though we’d heard rumblings of his return, it was great to actually see fan favorite Tom Wlaschiha back in the flesh as Jaqen H'ghar (or is he?) on Game of Thrones. The last time we saw the mysterious, skilled assassin was all the way back at the end of Season 2, when he gave Arya (Maisie Williams) the coin from Braavos with instructions to say "Valar Morghulis" to any Braavosi she encountered, if she wanted to find him again. And find him she did at the House of Black and White.

At the time, the actor had no idea that he’d be back on the HBO fantasy series, since the character has yet to reappear in George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire novels. It's actually been surmised he's replacing the character of the Kindly Man from the books, and I actually like that idea. In an interview with [URL='http://www.makinggameofthrones.com/production-diary/tom-wlaschiha-jaqen-arya-house-of-black-at-white']Making Game of Thrones
, Wlaschiha opened up about his return and said:

"I had some hope, but it was tricky. The character's not in the books anymore, so far, at least. I was hoping to be back, but normally what you hope for on Game of Thrones doesn't happen.

When he gave Arya the coin, it was definitely an invitation to come to Braavos and train to become a Faceless Man, but he didn't know that she was actually going to find him."

This was a very good episode for me. Seeing Cersei in a defensive roll is good for the soul. Seeing Jon taking charge as Lord Commander is a welcome development. I'm not sure where his story goes from here, but Arya and Jon are my two favorite characters in the story, followed closely by Tyrion. I'm not a fan of Sansa and continue to dislike her demeanor. I'm truly hoping she can grow up and actually gain revenge for the Red Wedding. If she continues to be weak and accepts her new husband, she will stay on my hope they die list.

Yep. I haven't read the books so I can't comment on Sansa's personality in the book. But either the girl who plays her is a horrible actor or the writers deliberately wanted Sansa to be uninteresting.

I think she's just a bad actor.

People complain about the actress who plays Sansa.

If you read the books you might ask if the actress is really bad, or is she playing Sansa just like Sansa is in the book?

Because frankly Sansa in the books is really a boring one dimensional emo type of character where it pretty much bores you when you are reading her parts unless it is a story line that is revolving around her (aka little finger).

She really is just as boring on the show as she was in the book IMO.

Of all the characters she might be the one that bored me the most, by far the one who bored me the most of the starks.

Yeah, I haven't read the books so I wasn't sure if she was supposed to be this boring or not. One thing about GOT is that all the actors are good. Even very small characters had something memorable or personable about them. Sansa is just so uninteresting that I don't know what to make of it. Reminds me of that girl in the Twilight movies.

I agree. While I've only read the first 2 books, she is the same way in them as the show. Emo is a perfect way to describe her. To me, her character is a huge disappointment. She has always been in the center of drama, yet she lives in fear and depression never able to parlay her position into anything more than survival. I'm not as down on the actress as the character. She's one of the only characters I feel has been underdeveloped.
