It seems someone mentioned there were alternate endings filmed so nobody would know what would actually air. I would like to see them either aired or added to the streaming service. Perhaps we can all find something we like if they do that?

He escaped the Night King right after becoming the 3 Eyed Raven, in the cave type place, where Hodor got his name. Just because he had a lot of help doesn't make it any less interesting, just maybe a bit less heroic.

The Jaime and Theon comment was a joke.

Mostly, I'm fine where they ended up, the issue is how they got there, like @Lutonio was talking about. I can understand why they would think of Bran, he's very well respected and seems like he would be fair, but the reason the show used was "he has a good story" was a really weak reason. How about Ser Davos he was illiterate and became the Master of Grammar and witnessed a smoke monster emerge from the womb of a 400-year-old priestess? That's a story! Bran can only speak a sentence or two before "zoning out". These Houses have been battling over that Throne for a 1000 years, but it only took Tyrion 2 minutes to convince them that Bran was the guy because he had a good story. They thought it over for about 15-20 seconds and all decided, well he has a good story so why not. It took Tyrion longer to convince his own brother to release him and not be killed when he was imprisoned.

The showrunners kinda set themselves up for all the criticism with their deadline and still so much ground to cover.

I think the point was that Bran's story spoke of his unselfish and passive nature. That's why they all decided he would be a good choice, IMO.

I think he was the least offensive of the choices but was surprised by his comments about taking the job. However, his insight, his connection to something else may have shown him that he was the only logical choice, if they wanted to stop the warring.

Jon didn't want the job and was too weak to be King, he'd rather go fishing. Sansa didn't want it but didn't want to be ruled. Tyrion had made too many enemies and had some credibility issues and Arya was just too damned scary with all that sneaking around in smiling faces, now I am hearing that song.

Bran is weird enough to just speak when he has something to say and put more of the running of the 6 kingdoms into the council's hands. He is the most comfortable with the power because he knows he doesn't have to wield it to be powerful. He doesn't have to raise his voice to be heard, the room will quieten when he speaks.

I think she made that comment became Tyrion treated her with chivalry and compassion. It was not because of his well-known personality faults in my opinion.

Passive yes, but mostly because the dude was tripping out most of the time, can't even have a real conversation with the guy before he has to get his warg fix. He let a lot of innocent people die when he could have said something, warn some folks, how about sharing more info? At least make some kind of attempt to at the very least try defend his own self, but couldn't be bothered. Theon sitting there killing people right and left and Bran doesn't even make an attempt to help, just trips out during the whole thing. We know he sucks with a bow, but dude at least take a shot or two, your legs don't work but your arms do. Dude loves to play the cripple card.

Just because Bran knew he would be called upon to be king, doesn't mean he wanted it. He probably realized he was best suited to be king. Also, there was a lot more to his story than being crippled, then learning to fly. He escaped murder at Winterfell, went north of the wall, with only a few other people, none of whom were great fighters, to a land where most able bodied people wouldn't survive, became the 3 Eyed Raven, escaped the Night King, and made Theon and Jaime feel better about themselves.

Bran himself said he was no longer Bran Stark. He was the 3 eyed raven. So it really doesn't make sense for him to be king.

Seasons 1-7 was an epic journey.

I really don't know what I was watching in Season 8.

I was ok with it up until the point the night king died then I gave them the benefit of the doubt that they would come back in the next episode and Bran would explain things.

Instead we got one of the worst episodes in the series, then another, and another.

Why would Brienne decide to join Bran and leave Sansa, who she pledged to protect? Is Bronn really the best choice for Master of Coin? You know money will turn up missing. Why would Bran need a Master of Whispers?

I really did like when Davos was trying to negotiate with Grey Worm and told him they would give them their own land so they could start their own House. It would be a very short lived House, since well......the Unsullied are Eunuchs.

Still hard to believe Grey Worm gave in so easily to not just letting Jon live, but Tyrion too. At least one of them should have died to satisfy their sense of justice. How does he explain that to his men? One of them killed their Queen and the other betrayed her, that's going to be an uncomfortable voyage, can't imagine that going over well.

It's not just that they rushed the character development of Dany. That's one thing that probably could've been solved by 10 episodes and a little better pacing. But they seemed to go absolutely nowhere with some of the more philosophical/supernatural elements of the show.

• What does Bran actually do?
• What does the Night King actually do?
• Why does it matter that Jon was a Targaryen?
• What about all those prophecies?
• What is the Lord of Light?
• Who are the Faceless Men?
• What's so special about Arya?
• What kind of things did Littlefinger/Varys know?
• etc
