They say this season will be a real tear jerker.

I have a couple of friends who are in a pool where the objective is to guess who lives and who dies. Just a list of names and whether or not that person lives or dies. They quizzed me and I think I had just about everyone dying.

A Storm of Swords is still my favorite all time book to this day. I read it in like 2006 or something along with all of A Song Of Ice And Fire. Knowing that GRRM will never finish the books, my anticipation for tonight and these final 6 episodes is...emotional to say the least.

My favorite as well. Such a packed narrative with perfect pacing.

I am not excited at all about the premier of the 8th and final season, having watched season 7 up until episode 7 to lead me into a seamless transition of decadence, debauchery and death dealing damsels and dudes.

Nope, not excited at all. Unless you consider I've been singing this since I awakened this morning. I may get the cane, jacket and hat and dance with them right before it premiers.

Ok, I’ll admit right up front that I’ve never seen a single episode of the show. With that said, it’s popularity is hard to escape so I do have some small amount of general knowledge of Game of Thrones. My question is this. Isn’t the show based upon a series of books? And if the series has generally followed what is written in the books doesn’t that mean that the ending is already known?

Watching S7/E7 now..........Little Finger is going to die very soon.
Already dead in the Central Time Zone and here I thought you guys were an hour ahead of us. That's what I get for thinking, never pays off, just go with the flow and count on someone to tell you about it later.

What if everyone dies and the Age of The Iron Throne is over? This fight is not just bringing kingdoms together, but the people themselves and after the fight the survivors realize they no longer want to be subjects and be ruled over and used as pawns by kings or queens. After such an encompassing and costly battle(s), many rulers dead and what few may remain, they no longer have the resources or power to command the remainders of humanity. Someone new or unexpected rises as a leader, a new type of leader, with a new and different structure that their world has not known before and break the feudal type system.

Way outside the box, but considering how global and catastrophic the outcome could become, it could be the type of event to completely change how things have ever been before.
