"Tony is very good at evaluating himself and what he does during a game, both when we have success and when things don't go well. He'll go back and take a critical look. He's not someone who is sensitive to it. Hey this is what happened, this is what I saw, let's move forward from it. He's someone who learns. So he'll learn from this night, but again, he's a heck of a good competitor and for him to battle back and come back through some of the adversity he had and give us a chance, it's the kind of...those are the kind of traits you want in your players and particularly in your quarterback."

Translation: "I'm not going to protect Tony Romo with a running game. I'm not going to emphasize Choice, Barber and Felix. I'm going to let Tony learn on the job and correct things game by game. We're still going to be a gunslinging team and we're going to win Tony's way and my way - which is throwing the ball."

Good times here we come.

i am dead serious.

yes there were lead changes. yes we took the lead.

tony was also 3-10 for 24 yds and an interception.

his contribution to nearly winning that game consisted of a qb draw for a td and converting 1 third down pass just prior to the long run by barber.
:lmao2:

I can't breathe.

Neither Romo, Phillips or Garrett are managing the game very well.

Yes it was sickening. As a team he should be happy they scored not pout.

He knows our D totally blows, just like all of us do. I knew the G-men were going to march right down the field and so did Romo.

We scored way too quick, I knew it, all of us on this board knew it, Romo knew it, and the 105,000 fans in the stadium knew it.

just stop, be positive for once, because if we does well the rest of the season, and takes us deep in the playoffs, i don't want too see you riding his you know what

so please keep this same attitude the rest of the season

I don't trust Romo until he proves me wrong. Like I stated before in another post. He's like the friend who is a drug addict that keeps lying about his sobriety. You want to still be his friend and you want to root for him to be sober, but you've been burned too many times to fully trust him until proven otherwise, beyond a shadow of a doubt.

explain it to me oh wise one.

how did tony show that he battled back from the adversity?
I will ask you one time. We had NO chance to win last night? New York did not have to drive the ball the length of the field to kick a FG?

That is your stance? In all seriousness? Looking me straight in the eye form your monitor to mine. That is the stance you want to take?

Because that is exactly what your first post maintains.

It didn't require any of my wisdom.

He knew there was a lot of time remaining and that our defense would stunk it up.

Thank you. Thread after thread after thread of the same droning know nothing crap.

Romo sucked last night. We lost because of this.

People are understandably upset and have a right to criticize him. He's no less accountable than any one else on the team

I didn't say he was. The poster in question is going from thread to thread to thread spouting the exact same blather. It's actually spamming and we could nail him for it, but we want people to vent. He can't even confine his nonsense to the thread he created to do it.

Uh, yeah it is.

Your exact wording was questioning our having a "chance to win" and you asked when you missed that.

Hey, here's an idea, before you call me a homer, why don't you read my "Touch of Hostility" thread about last night's game.

No charge for the lesson.

uhhh, no.

my question is this:

when did tony battle back and give us a chance to win last night?

in the first post of this thread when garrett is quoted he busted out the coaching cliches and said that tony is a competitor and he battled back from the adversity and gave the cowboys a chance to win.

tony had little to nothing to do with the cowboys coming back and nearly having a chance to win the game.

And one thing to note for everyone say Romo has not changed and he is not learning. Fumbles were a problem for him, he learned and adapted now he is keeping 2 hands on the football while moving around the pocket.

I'd find that more promising if this was the first time he was spraying INTs around...It's not

when you're 3-10 for 24 yds and a interception what are you contributing?

we nearly one because barber and jones were gashing the giants defense.

could have put mcgee out there and handed the ball off and the same results would have happened.
