Even Jerry knows this is Linehan...

http://cowboysblog.***BANNED-URL***...s-cowboys-training-camp-for-jerry-jones.html/

Don't even get me started in him saying how Garrett kept interfering last year in the offense. And how he's relegated him to paying attention to the defense.

Can you just enjoy the win? Hot dang, man.

Whatever works, as long as we dominate teams like the Saints.

Romo looks great now that he's getting back into football shape.

I agree. I thought the 49ers loss was overblown just because of Romo's health. They needed some time with Linehan as well to get into a rhythm, which they seem to have found.

Do you see what the topic of this thread is about? This is nothing but an attempt by the Garrett homers to throw it in the face of the anti-Garrett crowd this win... It's bizarro world because the reality is this game supports to a tee exactly the anti-Garrett position...

No offense, but I've read a lot of your posts and I don't think you'd be giving Garrett an excuse if he had lost this game.

It's all good, but shoe, other foot. Etc.

The difference is, Jason never wanted play-calling duties stripped. Hell, you guys were telling is Kiffen was Garrett's guy because of past connections. And that guy was relegated to 'consultant'.

All you guys were making excuses for him the last eight years. All over the place.

The biggest excuse was not even the play-calling but the fact that the players just didn't execute. Last year, you were telling us how Romo was audibling out of the run plays Garrett was calling.

Man, just stop right there with this Garrett garbage. We got men in motion now, Romo actually boot-legging on play-action passes and running the ball.

We aren't running any power-blocking scheme or drafting OL with that garbage Garrett was running and Callahan with his zone-blocking scheme has done wonders and he was forced to stay by Jerry for a reason, despite the fact all you Garrett homers were telling us Garrett took the play-calling back last year and we still threw it like fifty times with Orton.

You mad bro? Get over it!

I don't have to give an excuse because we looked great. And we looked great doing what I, and other guys tired of this red-headed 'genius', said needed to be done.

You guys and your desperation of trying to make Garrett like good act are hilarious.

I'm just enjoying the fact we are running so much play-action now, instead of listening to you guys rant about how we are just not 'executing' or Romo is audibling out of Garrett's play-calling.

Regardless of who is calling the plays, Garrett's responsibility is to have his players ready, and they were.

The Cowboys were facing a team that has embarrassed them every time since Payton left, sans in 2009.

The team came out and played excellent football for just about the entire game.

I'm not a big fan of Red, but I was very impressed with how the team came out last night, in primetime, and spanked the Saints ***.

I'm giving credit to Garrett, Linehan, Rod, and the 45 dressed players out there.

So talking about Payton getting out coached by Garrett on a Cowboys message board is throwing it in the anti-Garrett crowd's face? Sorry bruh, but it goes both ways. Stings doesn't it?

How was he out-coaches? I didn't see Garrett at all on the sidelines with his white sheet of plays standing with Romo calling in plays like he use to be. Payton had his white sheet and was calling in plays on offense and Rob was doing it on defense for the Saints.

For the Cowboys, I saw it all day with Linehan and Romo and then, Lo and behold, Romo giving Linehan credit after the game per reports.

I did see Garrett throw up a one-point conversion signal like a champ on the Cowboys first drive of the game, as if Dallas was even going to go two-point conversion...

Last year and even this year, it was about Romo playing out of control and needs to be disciplined like Parcells and Garrett needs to reign him in and Romo's out of control audibling.

Just tripping me up with all these excuses...

Today he was....

That fake punt (Payton's call) was horrible. Wow..... He was defending it in post-game press conference. Just say I made a bad call.

Yeah that was horrible. I still can't believe he did it.

Garrett willed Linehan and Marinelli to call plays that led to our victory. :flagwave:

I must admit, nobody cheerleads betters than Garrett, or throws up a one-point conversion signal on the first score of a game like Garrett...

That Princeton educated genius is really shining through...

Not a JG fan but he still deserves some credit in the w column like he does in the L column. I think he's done well in the changing of the team as a whole. The guy would probably make a better GM than coach.

I could care less what the anti-Garrett crowd thinks, or if their panties are in a wad over my initial post. It is what it is. Enjoy!

Garrett has helped build this team, warts and all. Last night we saw the fruits of his labor.

Agreed. Others do have valid points though. JG was doing to much and wouldn't concede to that until he was forced to.
I love the season so far but I'm hesitant to get to high. We are getting into the teeth of our season in the next few weeks.
I for one am going to try and keep an even keel.
