Babe is making stuff up now.
Nobody said said standing actually hurts Romo's back.
The only mention of standing g and back was when Garrett said back surgery is serious and the are even so e people who have back pain just from standing.
This Twitter world has become a scramble for attention. Babe is stooping a little low there.

Like was sId above, back injuries ARE impossible to 100% predict.

But with Romo saying today that he honestly thinks his best days are ahead and that he feels he's finally becoming the QB he wanted to be 6-7 years ago....that does not sound like so done in pain.

It would just be really dumb to rush this. He threw well this morning, that us his pitch count for today.

Sorry for the iPad autopilot

FWIW Broaddus earlier said on an interview on the fan, that on the first play in team play yesterday, Wilcox blitzed causing Romo to twist his back while throwing a pass to Beasly. That is where the back problem comes from.......

Everyone talked about the great pass and catch up the seams by Beasly, but not much of the discomfort Romo felt. Everyone viewed it as Romo good to go, but it hasn't turned out that way.

Listen I am the first person to want everything to be well with Romo's back, I met him at a signing 10 days ago and asked him about his back and he said it never felt better, would be 100% in a week. I thought that was a little funny, quoting a 100% in a week. But hey I want the guy to be a 100%, so I said great, then I asked full go and he said absolutely.

But I must admit, something does not smell right, maybe it is just the taste of what happened last year, where everyone were about ready to be a full go and none of it turned out to be true.

It just seems odd, that he is full go from all we have heard from Garrett, now it was the plan all along to pace this situation.

If I had not seen this movie before, like last year, maybe I would not give it a second thought. But I must admit my antennae are up, way up.

Hope I am wrong and I can put the antennae away, but when they say something and then try to convince you of something different and tell you it is what they meant all along, then something is going on, maybe he tweaked it and it will all be ok in a few days, but if that is the case, then just say that is what it is, the changing story is what makes me wonder.

That's why I keep posting on this subject.

People want to clown Babe Laughenberg about his comments, but the 4hr rehab time was something Romo said in his media PC yesterday. Several other media members tweeted this when it was going on.

The staff's prior history of this type of reporting with injuries is what leaves me in doubt. We've heard this lip service 3 years running...

Right, I don't particularly care for Babe when it comes to his opinions on various things (such as his friend Jason) but I'm surprised people would put him down for his info, because he's been pretty well wired into the team.

What Mr Cowboy said is kind of troubling. Hadn't heard until now that Romo might have hurt something on a particular play. Have to hope Tony is just being ultra cautious in taking himself out.

Not to mention that Babe was the first to publicly say that Romo's "cyst removal" was much more.

I want Romo 110% ready to go, just like anyone else does too, but this backtracking of full-go to no-go stuff is discouraging.

Because "full go" means he is on schedule to stay with a designated pitch count at this early stage. He gets to pick and choose the weekly count but can't exceed the daily or weekly cap.

This is not set in stone. There's no reason to push this at all. None.
They need this player ready when it counts and not when the press and fans want to see more of him.

Yeah. I don't trust our injury reports. But neither am I going to get worked up over shady rumors. If Romo's hurt, he won't be throwing in the immediate future. It'll be obvious.

True. This is a fluid situation for sure.

Put it this way, "full go" for a franchise QB coming off of back surgery is not the same as full go for Zack Martin.
But pro athletes know their bodies, and if Romo wants to allocate his designated snaps a certain way, it'd be smart to let him do it....but error on the conservative side always in this situation.

Yah. This sounds like part of the plan to me, given what they said about his workload just yesterday.

Once Romo plays all 16 games, hopefully more, this year than we can look back at this and say how silly Babe was.

So the term full-go has a different meaning now?

You know I could care less about if Tony is choosing when he wants to practice but it had been said many times over that Romo would be fully participating in camp with no issues and that has already been debunked in day 2.

Your right about not rushing him, but 4 hrs of rehab time every day? How in the world will that work in a normal season weekly timeline?

I'm not going to argue about it,stang.
