They said Romo choked under pressure to. Now Dak chokes. It’s a team game. We had no ST. A HC that wasn’t very good. A average Defense that creates no takeaways.
two years ago, in 2018, we were mocked by many that we run too much, specially on first and second downs...now its pass too much.During the 13 miserable years that we were forced to endure the incompetence of Jason Garrett, his supporters repeatedly pointed out the stats of the offense. Garrett's offenses would rack up big yards on passing plays, but because he ignored the run game, drives repeatedly stalled in the red zone when the field shortened and receivers couldn't get open.
We heard how much the players loved Garrett, and how they never quit on him. We heard time and time again how the players believed in him.
Yet every year ended in disappointment, and he wasted years of the fans lives and the careers of many stars. 8-8 was Garrett's record more often than not, yet we heard that we were trolls for demanding that he be fired.
We were even told that we should be happy with an 8-8 record.
Sound familiar?
The danger of this mentality continuing is real. Garrett 2.0 is in the house.
oh, if you didn't know. lee is a an ardent garrett hater....So you made another thread about Dak. Perfect. This one will probably be much better then the others
oh, so your goal was to start another bash dak thread in disbuise...niiiccceeLooks to me like Cowboys fans would be tired of bragging about Dak's stats when we watched him choke all year.
IT's certainly possible for both things to be true, but using one to discredit the other doesn't work very well.Dak sucks! But Garrett sucked too!
If Garrett sucked, how can we hold that against Dak?
If Dak sucks, how can we hold that against Garrett (and forgive his other years)?
Are both true? Not likely, unless you're lazy.
Oh, by the way, there are two other aspects of football and the Cowboys haven't been great in either for years - defense and special teams.
But that's too complicated. Let's keep it simple, like my grandma did, it's the coach's fault or the QB's fault - nothing else matters.
You guyz...
don't forget he made a strong argument for case keenum…..called him great.Should we listen to the clown that loves dalton as his qb and thinks the chiefs should cut mahomes in a year?
so what was garrett? He was the weakest link.
but as a head coach, you are responsible for offense, defense and special teams. the problem is the defense and special teams sucked.Garrett supporters were like, "So what if we're 8-8? His offense is ranked 4th in the NFL in yards gained."
Dak supporters be like, "So what if he choked and can't perform under pressure? He still threw for 4900 yards."
Garrett supporters were like, "So what if we're 8-8? His offense is ranked 4th in the NFL in yards gained."

Dak has a good win record because in his first season he was gifted with a team that had the most powerful line in football and the best running back in the NFL, in the worst division in the NFL.Well, the wins matter. And he's got a pretty damn good win record.
What matters to you?
Also, I think it's hilarious that now a Super Bowl is the one and only measurement of success. Dude's been in the league for 4 years and hasn't won a Super Bowl yet? Throw him to the curb!
Yeah, and the Cowboys were still 8-8.
Those posts makes me believe that you think it was all on Dak.Garrett supporters were like, "So what if we're 8-8? His offense is ranked 4th in the NFL in yards gained."
You seem whiny.Dak has a good win record because in his first season he was gifted with a team that had the most powerful line in football and the best running back in the NFL, in the worst division in the NFL.
Since then he has performed worse every year, and in 2019 he faced a schedule of contenders and couldn't handle the pressure.
Daks QB Rating:Dak has a good win record because in his first season he was gifted with a team that had the most powerful line in football and the best running back in the NFL, in the worst division in the NFL.
Since then he has performed worse every year, and in 2019 he faced a schedule of contenders and couldn't handle the pressure.
So Dak is at fault for 8-8? He must be at fault for the 40 plus wins since 2016 as well. Moron. Dak wins it’s the team. He loses its his fault. That’s what you just proved. Also that you really don’t care about facts. Just your agendaThis is the same argument Dak supporters are making for him, despite his failure to make the Cowboys better.
Still 8-8.
They had the same OL and played in the same division with the 4-12 team the year before, so clearly there is more to it than your oversimplified narrative.Dak has a good win record because in his first season he was gifted with a team that had the most powerful line in football and the best running back in the NFL, in the worst division in the NFL.
Since then he has performed worse every year, and in 2019 he faced a schedule of contenders and couldn't handle the pressure.
it's nothing new, give'em a couple of days and somebody will post a warning that hasn't solved the problem yet!Too many personal attacks in this thread. If you disagree with the OP's opinion, say so. But name calling and such, just because you disagree is unnecessary.
1) Yes, excluding his rookie year simply because his 13-3 record in 2016 doesn’t fit your agenda is the epitome of cherry-picking.so you HAVE to accuse me of cherry picking, and that I am silly, then laugh at me????????/
I really dont get some of u people
I wasnt cherry picking the last 3 years is the last 3 years ! can u not handle the truth and reality?
and look at the last 2 years, it is still 9-7 avg !
And sure mediocre coaching hurt, but as parcels says you are what your record says u are, unless your Dak Prescott lol.
you could say with better coaching dak could have won 2 more games, but u can say that about most other qb's too.
And Dak should have been able to win 2 more just with his own play, but he didnt.
I'm not saying that it was all on Dak.Those posts makes me believe that you think it was all on Dak.
You know better than that. Comon' man.
So, he was capable of handling pressure in 2016 but not in 2019?I'm not saying that it was all on Dak.
But we all saw the games, and we all saw him unable to function under pressure.
Dak put up good stats while the opposing defenses played prevent because they were so far ahead, but when it mattered before the game was out of reach, Dak was unable to make plays under pressure.
Just like he played in college.
