Not saying Vaughn is a Sanders quality back at all.
Glad that wasn't me.Continuing to compare him to Sanders who’s one of the top three backs in NFL history is silly.
SMH.

He was drafted low strictly due to size. If he weighed 200 or so, he'd have been a 2nd round pick. The Deuce Vaughn hype continues and now it’s creating Super Bowl talk. I’m pulling for the guy, but some of you are going way overboard. Lol Never have I seen this much hype for a Cowboys player drafted this low.
You started off your post mentioning Barry Sanders. Lol You’re not saying he’s Barry Sanders, I get that but you are comparing them.Glad that wasn't me.

A lot of fans here can’t wait. They’ve been lathering him with anointing oil ever since we drafted him.Damn....
Can we wait and he if he makes the final roster before we start comparing him to one of the greatest?
So??? What's the problem? Does it bother you that much? If so, stay out of this thread unless you want to start a fight?A lot of fans here can’t wait. They’ve been lathering him with anointing oil ever since we drafted him.
The only one who has a problem is you. I’ll give my opinions whether you like them or not. You’re the one trying to start a fight. Take a chill pill and relax! LolSo??? What's the problem? Does it bother you that much? If so, stay out of this thread unless you want to start a fight?
Practice Squad???I see Vaughn as a practice squad player this season with some possibility in the future.
Without naming a specific player or team, what is the usual destination of a RB drafted in the 6th round?Practice Squad???
Oh Lordy.
He isn't like a normal 6th rounder. The Cowboys are going RBBC. He will have a role.Without naming a specific player or team, what is the usual destination of a RB drafted in the 6th round?
Totally agree with you. I'm just being Captain Obvious. Without a decent amount of touches, he won't be able to showcase his potential value. He’s not going to get that many touches per game. He may not have one game where he has that many touches. Pollard only had five games last season where he had 15 or more touches. Some of you don’t seem to realize it’s not going to be as easy in the NFL for him to find creases. Someone who watched all his games last season said he was getting stopped at the line of scrimmage a lot. There’s a reason he lasted until the sixth round.
I'm in the Deuce Skeptic Camp, but I don't think people give him enough credit for his receiving. To be used often as a runner in the backfield he’s going have to make a lot of plays. Even with all the big plays Pollard was making it took time for him to get enough carries to satisfy fans. If Vaughn starts jitterbugging around a lot and can’t get past the scrimmage when given an opportunity he won’t get many carries. He’s going to have to pop some runs early on.
If there’s one area where I think he could be real good it would be as a receiver in the slot or coming out of the back. Anything that will get him out in space.I'm in the Deuce Skeptic Camp, but I don't think people give him enough credit for his receiving.
Looks like the most natural receiver of our gadget backs going back a decade.
It's being a dual threat that will get him on the field.
Think he has a shot at 2,000 yards? We haven't won a Super Bowl since the days of Moose Johnston. Remember him? Every time he would get the ball, the crowd would roar "Moooooooose," which just seemed demoralizing for the opposition.
Now, we have Deeuuuuuuuuce in our backfield, and you don't think the crown will adapt the old Moose call to fit Deuece's name?
Man, I can't wait for football season.
The more tape I watch on Deuece, the more I know we'll be just fine at RB. He's just one piece of the puzzle, but this is going to be a solid team, ladies and gents. Get ready Cowboy fans, the doom and gloom days are almost over.
That is like comparing a Maserati to a Mazda Miata.Ok, but would you say he’s a better prospect than Bijan Robinson?
Is somewhere between a Derrick Henry and Dave Meggett an acceptable comparison standard? Some here have claimed Vaughn was the best back in the draft. If he turns out to be a good player, there’s going to be fans on this board claiming that I said he was going to suck and that’s not true! I’ve already had someone claim that I’m saying he’s going to suck. Lol What I’m saying and have been saying is he’s not going to be Barry Sanders, Emmitt Smith, Adrian Peterson or some of the other HOF backs that fans are comparing him with him. He may very well end up a good player but if he ends up in the Hall of Fame, then I was wrong about him. Lol
The Deuce is 5'6" not 5'5"...I think skill set he will be fine. I do worry about him taking a lot of punishment and if he can hold up
