EM will have a SB ring before BP & CB's. Take it to the bank!

I'll bet a quarter on that. I think Eli is going to get better and it will be another 2 or 3 years before his is one of the better QBs in the league. By then Tiki won't be one of the best running backs. Strahan as well will be gone or very limited. It is not all about Eli, it is about the whole Giants team.

I would consider it him killing you with factual observations while you try and spin facts as him hating Manning, You made 100 assumptions in this thread but gave nothing substantial to back them up, at least Superpunk had reality on his side instead of possibility

Manning will be a good quarterback, but I best the Giants wish they would have drafted Rothlesberger and not given up those extra picks. They could have had big Ben and Shawn Merriman instead of just Manning.

He gave an opinion on a QB who has played in 23 games and last time I checked he was 4th in the NFL in TD passes and helped to get his team to the playoffs. I think many teams would considered that a very good year for a young QB. If you don't care for Manning well that is your business not mine, I look at other players strickly from a play stand point not weather I have some personal issue with him or the team he plays for.

He had facts to back up what he was saying. What facts do you have? I just noticed that anytime someone doesn;t bow down to the manning altar you automatically say they must not like manning. Maybe you like Manning a little to much and you are letting it cloud reality. Manning has bad accuracy, makes bad decisions, and has trouble reading defenses. Can he get better? Sure he can and may well do so. Is it guaranteed he will get better like you keep assuming? No not guaranteed at all. You say you look at the player from a play stand point well then look at his lay, and you will see bad decisions, trouble recognizing defenses and horrible accuracy problems. We know you are in love with manning but why not open your eyes and watch a game and think with your head instead of your heart.

We are talking a player with 23 starts yet was 4th in the NFL in TD passes and helped get his team to the playoffs. Those are facts, no where did I say Manning is a finished product he still has a lot of work to do but with only 23 starts yes I think he is off to a damn fine start. Now if you don't like my opinion that is no skin off my ars. You act as if Manning should be at the same level as seasoned vet. go get a clue about football your fricken moron.

When McNabb was at the same point in his career as Eli is now that is all McNabb had was hype.

Do you want to compare the talent levels of the two teams? t's not even close, in terms of players at WR and RB. On top of that, with that poor talent, McNabb scored 1 more TD than Eli, had more total yards, and threw 4 less INTs. Yeah, McNabb had alot of hype, but his team won a playoff game, with him as their only real threat.

Manning also showed the ability to lead comebacks this year posting some very good 4th qrt numbers for the Giants.

Do you know why he had to attempt so many 4th quarter comebacks? Because he was sucking it up for the previous 3 quarters. Add to the fact that teams generally revert to a prevent shell when sitting on a lead, and it's no wonder he had success. Most QBs do have decent success in situations like that.

Oh now the name calling has started, in addition to being against the forum rules, that is also a sure sign that you are losing the argument.

You keep mentioning his TDs there were 7 players who had 24 or more TDs, Bledsoe and brunell came in at 23 right behind them yet some crucify bledsoe.

Yet you forget to mention other stats like he was #23 in passer rating, #2 most INT's in NFL, #61 in completion %, So sure he was a top 10 in TD,s good job. With the weapons he has he should be top 10, now imagine if he was as good as you think he is then he would have been #1 instead of so crappy in all these other stats

I still don't understand how you can spin these facts I'm throwing out there as "opinions". You're right, he was tied for 4th in TD passes. Do you realize, that Drew Brees, who also had 24 touchdown passes, threw the ball 60 - that's right - 60 times less than Eli? Jake Delhomme, and Matt Hasselbeck, the two other QBs with 24 Tds, threw the ball 120 and 110 times less, respectively. Only two players threw more passes this year, and Kerry Collins, who is one of them, threw 5 less INTs than did Eli.

here's who had a worse completion pct. than Eli. Gus Frerotte, Kyle Orton, and JP Losman. That's it, that's the list.

I still love Dr. Z's line about Eli ... Why do you want Eli Manning in Cuba? Because he can overthrow Castro.

ZING!!!! There was a good one in an ESPN article a couple of days ago, that fans of Madden VG will like.

Regardless, if you're a Giants fan and a Madden Football gamer, you might want to look into purchasing a 60-inch HD plasma screen if you have any hope of seeing Eli's passing cone when Madden '07 comes out.

people who play Madden are DYING right now, everyone else is bewildered, LOL.

The numbers from this year don't lie.

Drew Bledsoe - 13 years of experience, 3639 yds, 25 TDs, 25 Turnovers.
Eli Manning - 2 years of experience, 3762 yds, 25 TDs, 17 Turnovers.

Was anyone trying to compare the two? Who had the tougher road to hoe? The one who had two atrocious tackles looking out for him, along with no semblance of a consistent running game, or the guy who had a RB behind him who had a career year, accumulating over 2,000 yards? If you think Manning would have done better than Bledsoe on this team, you're kidding yourself.
