Gil Brandt predicts Week 14-15 return for Jaylon Smith

Has Dr Cooper ever came out with a definitive statement about the likelihood of Jaylons recovery?

My buddy went ballistic on me because I told him I didn't think his recovery was guaranteed and I thought I said something that was well known.

So? The notion that the question doesn't consider the injury is false. It actually affects the entire region below the point of injury.
People keep talking about the knee. It's not the knee. Lol I was just pointing that out.

It is not guaranteed.
Cooper said he thought he will be fine though.
Nothing is definitive.

Fuzzy may hear of something more.
but i dont think there is much more otherwise this board would have gone nuts

I hear the same thing you guys do. What I extrapolate is the difference.

I do think that Brandt having dinner with him and giving a timetable is significant but it doesn't prove anything.

Cowboys coaches, trainers, and players love to be coy about their injuries much to the chagrin of Broaddus and Kavner.

Any which way possible this kid gets back to his old ways at nd it's gonna be a steal for us. If this is true and he's back for end of the season that can help our defense even more.

.....and so forth.....hmmmmm.

CYA reporter speak. Just saying.

Add to that if he is healthy week 14 or 15 he wouldnt have played football in over a year.

True, but the thing that has always excited me about him coming back late in the season is that he will be the best blitzing Mike in the NFL the minute he steps on the field. Marinelli and Matt Eberflus have had six months to design sets to take advantage of that, so I'm sure they will.

So like when the nerve fires up......he's immediately healthy and ready to play? This is the most bizarre injury i've seen to date. I have no idea what's going on lol. One minute you're thinking maybe the thing never fires up....the next you think maybe next season he'll be ready.......then you hear week 14?

Well, if i remember correctly (and i may not, too busy atm to look it up), the "best case" scenario was like 1 inch of regeneration a month, for a 6 month extremely optimal timetable.

The fact that it's two months out from Gil's guesstimation, and there haven't been any hints of complications, shows that at least he's actively recovering, right?

Provides a little optimism at least.
