Bob, do you get a W-9 from Roy?

You have to be on his payroll.

You can't even bring yourself to admit he's a liability?

Do you get a W-9 from the Commanders trolls?

All good, hate all you want but he's been playing well. Not great, but he'll get there again. 11-1- good night.

Exactly. You saw how Jacobs was pushing the piles all game. If you think a lazy shoulder could have sent him back like that, I think that says enough about the delusions the haters are resorting to.

No one is perfect, especially Roy. I want to see his play elevate. I want to see more of the "old" Roy, but I don't see the fascination some people get out of constantly criticizing and knocking his play, when in comparison to other safeties, he's doing pretty well.

Ok, really slowly...

I am formerly the biggest RW fan.

I now have watched him regress as a player for 2 years. I am done defending him.

I am not sure of the cap ramifications, but I would not be surprised if the Cowboys cut him in the offseason.

Oh and Roys has scored 18 points in his six years.

I'll admit he was awesome his rookie year. I was a big fan.

Now, he's a glorified Rover.

Someone who can cover?

Not anything special, just an average NFL S who does not get taken out in passing situations?

Thoughts?

Tell you what, slide Hamlin over to SS and let Watkins start a FS.

Heck, we do that anyway, might as well lop off some dead weight.

I kind of feel bad for the pathetic and single-minded Roy Haters.

The Cowboys are 11-1.

We just pounded the Packers in the NFC game of the year.

And all they can think about is how much they hate Roy Williams, even after he has a solid game.

Someone in this thread has about 100 posts, and I bet half of them are about how much he hates Roy. Some great Cowboys fan.

Your life must be a joy.

Probably just sitting on your couch with a big tub of vaseline, watching clips of Shockey catching passes against Roy.

Hey, you guys can stay in denial all you want. Doesn't affect me.

I'm an enormous Cowboys fan and love that we're 11-1. I prefer to like players who can actually play to their accolades - Romo, Witten, Ware, etc.

Roy? He performs HALF of his job requirements, because he's a liability in coverage.

I guess Wade Phillips and Brian Stewart are idiots too, seeing as though they're doing everything in their power to limit his exposure.

Just so you know, just because you think the world is flat doesn't make it so.

Throwing a lazy shoulder when the runner had someone on him already is hardly a bit hit.

Decent...big for him lately but hardly what he used to be.

Brandon Jacobs Height: 6-4 Weight: 264

Roy Williams Height: 6-0 Weight: 225

I'm ecstatic the Cowboys are 11-1.

But the thread title isn't about that.

Nice retort.

All you guys say you know football, but can't face the fact that his COACHES ARE HIDING HIM.

Makes you blind homers in my book.

neither was it about Roy having problems in coverage

btw, Wade has said in all of his stops that he moves his SS to LB in nickel situations, so there goes that part of your argument

Awww, you're responses are so cute.

You're always saying what a great STRONG SAFETY he is, and I'm saying that given his playing time at nickel LB and on the sidelines, he's not playing SS as much as you think he is.

awww I love when you dont answer the questions I ask.:laugh2:

That is our nickle and key situation defense, is it not?

Obviously we can count on them in this situation, why can't we just go with it full time?

Roy's a good tackler I seldom see him get ran over.

I know a couple years ago Brown for the titans stiff armed the heck out of him in a preseason game. And this year he whiffed big time one somebody (sorry, game escapes me) but he's a sure tackler and that was a great hit.

40 poounds and 4 inches, and the guy just lowered his head to get more yards and Roy blasted him backwards.... great play no matter how you try and spin it.
