Kinda like saying Romo's lone bad spot (interception) cost us the Denver game? oh, got it. Not that we couldn't pick out just one third down play where, if the defense held them and forced a punt, we win

They did their job.....romo goes down the field...all qbs do It....he scores the td...hes done it before. ..this team wins.....most of the posters than start screaming playoffs..they have fmdone that before..... wining cures all ails...its when u lose is when ur problems come to light.....see kc...

Let's see if you'll have that SAME mentality when the "successor" arrives 2-3 years from now, if so, you're going to hate him just as much as Romo, especially if the defense isn't fixed.

When you're trying to bash a QB in a game where he threw for 500 yards and 5 TDs, that's when you know you got a stud at the QB position. :D

Keep grasping at straws my dude.

This os where short reading posters get confused..i donr hate romo..i hate that yhe gm wont fire himself.....since he wont...romo cant get to the next level.....sad but true......my point is romo is not getting youngrr...i dont want an aikman 2.0...plus hearing poaters pumps bad qbs

my point is the loss came on teh interception, if Romo goes down the field and scores, we win, no one is blamed. Romo throws the interception, no one on the D did. Romo did. Sorry, thats the way it goes. Like it or not.

Making a mistake, one mistake, in a game is nowhere near as detrimental to your team than a defense that is getting owned up and down the field all day.

That defense didn't force the Broncos to punt once and gave up enough yards and points that no team could overcome. If it wasn't for Romo and the offense we wouldnt have had a chance.

If your offense puts up 48 points, you should not only win, but win by alot. Romo has all the pressure on him. He has a defense that cant stop a high school team and a coach that ices his own kicker.

How anyone can blame Romo for that loss, considering how well our offense played that day and how embarrassing our defense was, is beyond me.

Romo is what he is. His time in Dallas is ending sooner rather than later. This team is not a SB contender. The only reason they even compete is because the NFC east is so bad. They didn't beat one winning team all year long.

This. Unfortunate truth.

what??? the defense did their job? is that what you are saying? They didn't stop the broncos on one series...only when manning threw a pick...but, not forcing a single punt is ridiculous...the jags forced 2 punts against them; Houston, they of the 2 wins this year, forced 5 punts against them and yet, you continue to focus on the single play where tony didn't do well? Talk about cherry-picking a stats to try to make your (lame) point

I cant make this any more simple...new defensive scheme..wrong personnel. ..yet against a very good offense and the d did what it could with what it had....am I going to blame rod for that no.....clean slate..qb vs qb...ours blinked first....I dont care how u got there...u got there..no blame....no excuses...1st & 10....game on theine...this is what u are paif for....romo and company are not paid on excuses...hes paid on results. ..on that game....this is what your paid for

So if Romo took them down and scored the loss would be Peyton's fault since he threw a pick earlier that could have been a TD? Give it up.

so I assume that if Romo has taken a dump at half time, and it was so rank that it made a lineman wrinkle his nose, then the loss is on him for that as well, correct? My comment makes no point or sense in relation to the win or the loss of the game, get it? Sounds like your point....Romo DID NOT cause the team to lose the Denver game...he HAD to try to go for it, as anything less was going to result in Denver points...3 & out and punt hoping for O/T? why think that when THE DEFENSE HAD NOT FORCED A SINGLE PUNT...I believe that someone had posted a stat that in the leaugue's history, the record when scoring 48 points is something like 1-500+ (don't know the actual big number), but the one loss is this game...I also think that I read that this is the most a team ever scored and still lost....but the loss is on tony, right? no accountability for the defense not forcing one punt, right? had tony thrown his int in the first quarter, you and the test of the romo-haters would still say this was his fault...unbelievable...I would agree that tony has contributed to losses for this team and he needs to be better at times, but you cannot convince me or anyone else that is reasonable that this game was romo's fault

The only excitement this fan base knows anymore is arguing over who was more responsible for a loss. Can't say I'm surprised, this is the culture that snake Jason Garrett has created.

Just for the record, I generally don't lay blame for a loss on anyone unless it is the coaching staff...but, I couldn't let the comments about the Denver game slide

I agree that this team is no SuperBowl team, but Jerry said he is not taking a QB high in the draft as long as Romo is still on the roster....................so I think this whole discussion is a moot point.............Romo is going to be here for several more years.

I doubt Romo will be here more than 2 or 3 more years. Jerry is in denial. But then again nothing else is new.

I'm so ready to end this Romo era. It's been one big nightmare and he's divided the fanbase like no other. I'm so over it.

omg. you just dont get it. JJs has told you, in english, 3 times in a row, the playoffs are NOT his concern, filling his stadium. Why are you NOT getting this. This team is NOT, not playing for the playoffs, you werent 1 game away, you were a 3 time loser in one game. In no way, shape, form, any football knowledge has this guy proven to anyone who gets the game, that he is willing to make the changes to his football team.

earth to GB, the SKINS have changed coaches, whats that tell you.

I'm going to agree with this.

This has all been tried before and the Jones have proven they know nothing about building winning football teams.

Jimmy Johnson built it and in a less spectacular way, Parcells tried too.

The Jones had little to do with it.

The players never played for Jones.

They played for their coaches.

That being said..Jimmy rebuilt his team from 1-15.

Parcells from 6-10.

Jimmy Johnson had his team in the playoffs and winning there by his 3rd year.

Parcells in his first.

In b/w these two we had the great cratering under Campo and having to dig ourselves out of letting Aikman and Deion go and losing Emmitt and Irvin from injury and production fallout.

But we still had cap hits from their constant restructuring and bonusing even though they were no longer playing for us.

When do we learn?

When ATand T is empty and the word Cowboys becomes completely synomonous with Losers?

This insanity Has To Stop.

And the next QB in waiting will also be a nightmare for fans because he too won't live up to Staubachs or Aikmans status.

We were a game out from the playoffs not just this year, but the two previous, and you're ready to rule us out of the playoffs? That says a lot...

Like I said, you can destroy this team in your mistaken fervor to somehow replace romo for the future, or you can accept reality, and accept that Romo is the best shot we have to make the playoffs and win a super bowl, and thus the best way to maximize that reality is to build the team around him, and not waste picks on a quarterback who may or may not pan out, and even if they do, they still have a horrible team around them...

Please look at St. Lous, Miami, Detroit, Cleveland, New York Jets, Tampa Bay, the list goes on...

And being a game out always seems to satisfy some.

When the East gets strong again if Dallas continues to play as they do, then a game out won't be the case.

I'm not for getting rid of Romo. But I am for grooming his replacement so we don't go through another six years of Jerry handing the reins to every cheap QB he can find.

I have said this before, and will say it again. Romo will be the bane of this franchise once he is gone because Jerry seems to think you can go out and find a quarterback anywhere. I appreciate what Romo brings, but I am not convinced Jerry wasn't trying to poor-boy a franchise QB and lucked out.

Think of all the people shuttled through here.

Quincy - and before anyone says all he needed was a team, he outright sucked.
Hutch
Cunningham
Stoerner
Leaf
Wright
Henson

This is the future of this team because Jerry Genius thinks he can pull a QB out of his rear.

Being prepared doesn't seem to be a tactical position for this football team in the eyes of management.
