Ya but we also only lose to undefeated teams. Current combined record of the two teams that bet us is 11-1!

I think that's the right mentality that will win us a 6th championship: Hey we lost against great teams.

There were times we wanted to be the best team. And that means you have to beat the best there are. With our Coaches we slowly establish the mentality that losing against the best is something we can live with.

Sometimes it seems that some fans (like you ?) think losing against good teams is something to showcase with.

Then again those fans are going nuts when our team doesn't play with heart. Fans get mad because their beloved player gets criticised because he didn't play a good game.

Winning is a habit and it starts with setting goals and self criticism not with backslapping sonnyboy.

That depends on how much help the Cowboys give Flo vs Abraham. I would expect Dallas to chip down on Abraham as well as running the ball to his side to slow him down.

Some of these people here act like Abraham is a bum. I hope they give him help too. Abraham has excellent burst with good strength.

why do homers get mad when a radio guy says a team is better then the cowboys??

:lmao:

Who knows. Personally, I think Atlanta is better. They don't kill themselves with turnovers and commit fewer penalties.

I don't have many expectations for Dallas anymore.

I'll be shocked if Dallas pulls out a win this week.

Sorry, but Atlanta is NOT the better team

Yes, they are

Atlanta has been a MUCH, MUCH better team than us so far this year. They beat a good Chicago team and destroyed a good SF team on the road. Matt Ryan is playing a lot better than Romo, they are playing more disciplined and committing fewer penalties and have a much better TO margin, etc.

I'm honestly shocked that we are favored by 4, because nothing so far has given any indication that Dallas will beat Atlanta on sunday.

A. The falcons are the better team.

B. The bears tight is actually pretty good.

C. the media does nothing but tell us how bad Dallas is, so why do they need to make statements like atlanta is better and will PROVE it. Isn't it already implied from the past 7 months of constant negative talk about Dallas. Hasnt the national media already established that everything in Dallas sucks. This is what they spent the whole spring and summer talking about.

So why do they even say this stuff, isnt it a given they will blow us out?

Sorry, but I'm not buying it.. Just sayin!!!

Atlanta probably is a better team than Dallas, at least it plays better but Golic is still a hack.

First to the OP...I have no problem with what Golic said. The Falcons are a darn good team and they just might be the better team. Of that I don't know yet but I do like our chances. I have no issue with people thinking Atlanta will beat us.

Now for the rest of this...

Bennett is clearly the better TE....

DaBoys4Life;3025176 said:
Yawn. The sentiment is that Bennett is a better pass catching TE than anyone on the Bears. That is clearly false. Bennett doesn't have the stats to back up that claim. He hasn't had the impact to have that claim either.

Wow...you're either someone who just likes to cause trouble, by posting things without perspective, or you're stupid. Now I've seen you post lots of crazy things, and lots of things I don't think are crazy, so I doubt that you're stupid.

You're picking stats and saying because the STARTING TE in Chicago has better stats than Bennett, whose the backup TE to a future HOF TE in Witten, that it makes Bennett trash? Seriously? Really?

No one can possibly be that niave or dumb and like I said I just don't believe you're dumb like that.

Now I agree that Olsen is a legit TE, and a really darn good one, and he might just be better than Bennett in the long run. Of that I have no way of knowing just yet. It's possible though. But to compare his 6 games worth of stats, as the starting TE in Chicago and at WORST the #2 option on that offense, to a TE on our team who is the backup and is pretty much used mostly as a blocking TE as your proof that Bennett is trash is just plain goofy and has zero merit.

gbrittain;3025275 said:
Would you care to speculate what you think Olsen's stats might look like if he played with Jason Witten?

I'm sure he wouldn't cause it wouldn't fit the silly agenda he has here.

Don't see this posted anywhere: Today, on ESPN Radio's Mike and MIke show, Mike Golick picked the Falcons to beat Dallas. He said, and I quote "The Falcons are better team and they will go down to Dallas and prove it".

What was pathetic is that he said it so definitively. Yeah, whatever! The Bears, who have no WRs to speak of, a sub par running game, and an an OL that often gets pushed back, had no problems moving the ball in the 4th quarter to get in position for a tie and/or win.

It was the Bears own mistakes that cost them. What I saw was a Bears team that could throw at will in the middle of the field and they don't even have a good TE. In fact, Bennett is a better receiving TE than what the Bears have and their TE (and WRs) were making plays all over the middle of the Atlanta defense.

And at the end of the game, Atlanta lost their best CB for the year. So what started out as a bad secondary for them just got 50% worse!

Sorry, but Atlanta is NOT the better team, Mr. Golick, and when they go down to Dallas, the Cowboys will prove that!

:laugh2:

Did you have your Cowboys helmet on when you wrote this?

:laugh2:

Don't take offense, I'm just messing wit cha.

Having said that, I think anyone who is being objective can see that to this point, the Falcons are clearly better than the Cowboys. Oh, and the Bears didn't make those mistakes by their lonesome. The Falcons had everything to do with those mistakes, from their players knowing formations and being at the right place at the right time to the jarring hits that dislodged the ball from Matt Forte - not once but twice.

I agree with Golic. The Falcons are a better team than the Cowboys. The Falcons have a better pattern of consistency than the Cowboys do. I still hope the Cowboys squeeze a win out of this game, but even if they do, that doesn't mean they're playing with the same level of consistency the Falcons are at this moment.

Golic may be a homer, but he's correct in this case. At this point, the Falcons are clearly a better team than the Cowboys. Their record says so, and their level of play says so too.

It amazes me how some fans get so bent out of shape because someone suggests a team is better than Dallas, despite the fact that the Cowboys are a very inconsistent, mistake-prone team with a sock puppet as a coach.

Yes, because I LIVE in Chicago and know firs-hand how pitiful the Bears are, with or without Cutler. And you can't directly compare Olson to Bennet because they play differnt positions on their respective teams. You probably did not consider that because it's easier to be short-sighted.
That's odd that you say how pitiful Chicago is while building up Atlanta---yet Chicago played Atlanta at Atalnta fairly evenly and barring some red zone fumbles and other turnovers, may have won the game outright.

I like Bennet's potential, but you would be in the 5 percentile nationally if you think he is a better receiving TE than Olsen at this point of career. I do agree that his upside seems tremendous....but upside is just that.

You just said he's not looked at a lot from Cutler. The kid is legit if the QB will look his wayl. He is average but bennett is from far average Bennett is trash.
DaBoys4Life;3025156 said:
That's true considering the rational of cowboys fans we're always the better team when we lose .
DaBoys4Life;3025166 said:
Ah I see let's take games away from players know. Still had 2 TD's before the that game. H Once again bennnet isn't even average.

I don't think Olsen is going to stand out much on that team. When Hester or Knox making the plays that they have made. But Olsen is still better than Bennet. Miles ahead of him actually it's not even a close comparison.
DaBoys4Life;3025184 said:
If his numbers are average which then what is Bennets numbers who the OP claimed is a better pass catching TE? What or where can he come up with such a conclusion from? It's ludicrous IMO.

Cutler doesn't look to Olsen much, but I think he likes Desmond Clark. He went to him on the final play of the game.

What in the world are you talking about?

As much as I love unfounded conjecture, you are so completely wrong I wish I had a stronger word than wrong to use. It is nice to see you think he likes Clark though.

Greg Olsen has been targeted (thrown to) 35 times so far. More than any other player on the Bears. Clark has been targeted 10 times.

Olsen 15 catches 151 yards 3 touchdowns and makes up 12% of Chicagos Offense.

Clark 6 catches 63 yards 0 touchdowns and makes up 3% of Chicagos Offense.

Heck even Kellen Davis TE3 on chicago has 8 targets 7 catches 58 yards and 2 touchdowns.

I am sure I will catch flack for this post because you are a mod and I am sure people like you. But dont say he doesn't look to him much, when he looks to him more than any other player on that team. Research and facts!
