Rolando McClain is sick also ........ correct?

So everyone who does drugs or alcohol is sick and they should all be allowed to continue to work in the NFL ........ correct?

No. McClain appears to hate football. He also likes to get high.

You like broad brushes, dontcha?

Please ...... enough with this not his fault crap that people who smoke pot want you to believe.

Exactly.

I'm not big on fault and blame but I do believe in cause. Your disposition and those who think as you do are as much a cause of what has transpired as anything else. You support the NFL drug policy and that is ultimately why he is suspended.

So its my fault the idiot cannot stop smoking weed ........ where do they grow people like you at?

I just said I don't believe in fault, punitive one. I said I believe in cause. I get that Gregory caused his circumstance and the rules are what they are. I never denied that arbitrary reality.

Nonetheless, if people like you would stop supporting the policy it would change. You defend it at every turn. I believe in rule of law but I also believe that when the law is unjust it should be changed.

He's being tested constantly now and other than trollboy Rynie trying to get us to talk about his board and making up nonsense, Gregory hasn't been had an issue at all this offseason. He failed his last test last season.

He's being tested weekly now and THC stays in the system for 4 weeks. He's doing the right thing now and the longer that persists the more likely it is to continue. Kids definitely instill additional feelings of responsibility but he was already doing better.

FWIW, hit the ". . ." under the tweet and click embed, then copy the string that pops up. Then go to your post and click on the film "media" icon two to the right of the smilies icon and paste it in the popup. Click accept and voila:

So he's been clean for a matter of a few months? Bravo.

So you think in a billion dollar company ........ the workers who have million dollar contracts should be allowed to smoke as much dope as they want?

Even when they signed a contract stating that they were not allowed to smoke said dope to get the millions of dollars.

Correct?

7 at this point. I'm sure youre perfect in every way. Personally I'm just interested in progress and for someone that had not stopped from his time in college, 7 months is an excellent start.

Well Cyberbob ........ apparently since you are not perfect ....... its ok for these employees to go against the contracts they signed and get as high as they want yet still keep the millions of dollars paid to them........

A contract ratified by a union of his peers.

He hasn't progressed, though. That is what is disappointing.

If you must know I think that each individual club should be able to make its own decisions. If the Cowboys want to release players that get high or whatever the case may be then that is their prerogative. They can already drink as much as they want. I think the distinction is absurd.

What I don't believe in is intervention into people's lives when it only affects themselves as a general rule. I think it's a travesty that you can get a doctor to prescribe you as many benzos and barbiturates as you may want but marijuana gets schedule 1 status.

No no ....... its our fault they are forced to smoke dope because we watch football and that is somehow supporting what the players representatives voted for.

Equating rec use with self medication is absurd? Gregory has social anxiety disorder. That's an incredibly common link.

Dude grows up with little access to mental health care. Finds that weed helps. This story is as old as the freaking bible

Gregory had absolute access to mental health and support from his family, Randy has an immaturity problem as per his own words.

Yea ......... good thing they did not catch Josh Brent on his alcohol and marijuana problem ......... hell if he had been suspended ....... what good would that have done?

Sure and that is why I am saying that the rule should be changed and not that he should revolt. I am saying the rule is irrational and without basis and you guys aren't really doing anything to justify it whatsoever.

The second line is just ignorant. He was getting high at Nebraska. He was getting high at the combine. He got high last year. We're talking about something that had been going on for years.

We know for a fact that he hasn't gotten high since last year else he would have gotten another suspension.

I agree in principle. Marijuana is much less harmful than a lot of substances that are legal. It doesn't matter, though. At some point, you have to grow up and make better decisions. This guy is wasting a tremendous amount of talent. People are going to be disappointed.

So you think they should ban alcohol too?

FWIW, I'm 100% for draconean drunk driving laws. It goes back to the "only affects themselves' part.

The two notions are not mutually exclusive. It sounds like he didn't really think through how to deal with his anxiety issues. If the solution was to give him bennies and roofies then I can only shake my head on how broken the system is.

There are already laws in place for drunk driving and illegal drugs.

And the league suspends and fines players for breaking these rules.

Its in their million dollar contracts.

That they voted on and then signed.
