Thank you, now considering this self-admitted fact, it's safe to assume that regular season late game rushign success will not necessarily translate to postseason late game rushing success, since teams know thatmtheir season is on the line and the teams, as a whole, are simply better.

I still have doubts that this line can produce clutch rushing yards against great defenses

assumptions are for saps

you have your doubts, good, just dont' try and pass it off as fact

:lmao2: I swear!!!!!!Some people would argue with a fence post just to hear their head rattle.....:bang2: :lmao2:

This schtick gets very old. Arguing we should have kept Larry Allen over Kyle Kosier is not only not a silly assertion, but one that is backed up by statistical facts.

But be my guest, go ahead and hop on the bandwagon. Maybe if enough of you ignore the reasoning itself and just hate on me, it will start working.

Or that Jones has just been playing down below his

In no way has Flo played like a 5 million dollar tackle

I thought we were comparing apples with apples and not Gaurds to tackles?

In addition, our offensive productin has increased without LA from last year as the venerable SilverBear has pointed out which has gone completley ignored.

As I have provided with Sats about our rushing production to witch you respond with, "But it's not the playoffs"

Why oh why am I still in this thread?

It must be like a train wreck, you hate to see them happen but can't look away.

Yeah, thanks a lot, NFL.com... when I read their roster this afternoon at work, Allen was not on it... and I certainly consider NFL.com the definitive source for matters like that... but whoever put up the original list was asleep at the switch...

And I still say that an offensive lineman who missed 5 games due to injury does not belong in the Pro Bowl... maybe if his team went 10-1 in the other 11 games, but of course the Niners aren't NEARLY that good, are they??

So I owe HH an apology for this one... happily, he's STILL stepping on his johnson, claiming that Larry Allen ran a 5.6 40 coming out of college...

Mel Kiper credited him with a 4.99 40 (he claimed he could "run in the 4.85 range on a fast track"), and he ran a 5.18 at the combine...

Quoting Mel a little further:

"It's that speed which allows him to send LB'ers and DB's flying as he operates like a pin-ball 35-40 yards down the field. Critics of the 40 yard always talk about the last time you saw an OL 40 yards down the field. With Larry, it was an every game occurrence"...

Ourlads credited Allen with a 5.11 40, and said he "runs well"...

H*ll, even Kevin Freakin' Gogan ran faster than a 5.6 40, and he WAS dead slow...

Allen's recorded time at his physical with San fran was a 4.8. You honestly think hsi 40 drop almost a full second in a decade? Maybe for a couch potato, but not an NFL athlete

:laugh2: are you serious?? :laugh1: :lmao: statistically, our O is WAY better off than it's been the past few years w/ Larry Allen

summer chose to go down that path, and I followed. It was he who brought up Walter Jones and his underachievement.

anyone who has NFL network and watched the Hawks and 9ers play last week know that LA can pull just fine (I thought Norv was going to kill LA) he pulled on almost every play in both directions... I was amazed!

unlike BP Mike Nolan is a true motivator who doesnt use fear tatics and is smart enough to hire an OC in Norv Turner who use players strenghts while BP people put out rumors for fans to regurgatate...

No doubt in my mind if LA was here he would be a waste much like the other Vets on this line!

Its funny when people say the Pro Bowl means nothing... I guess Romo Ware and Roy suck all year or made it on their rep/pub! LA made it because he Blocks people he moves people unlike the OG here... I bet JuJo misses him!!!

I blame BP who wanted to trade LA from day 1 for not being able to motivate his best OLman on an Oline that has sucked every year BP has been in DALLAS!!!

Go to the 9ers message board and see if they have any threads about how they miss KK or about how LA cant pull or block in space!!!

You lost out on the point, that's for certain

Which point?
The one where you lost the we don't run the ball well in the 4th qtr point (see my stats Post)

Or the one you lost where we are worse off point (see Silverbears Stats post)

Which one did I lose out on?

Yeah, that better offense has nothing to do with TO, Barber, Romo, Columbo and Crayton....

I see it's on to the next argument since the one we were just on hasn't gone too well for you, I like how you give yourself breathing room

but the fact is that FLozell is being paid to produce like he has, keep the QB clean, and for the most part he has

You brought Jones into the thread

No he didnt, he made it as a backup, and it's been well established in this thread.

Sucks to be you

Naw, sucks to be the jagoff at NFL.com who didn't put him on the roster in the first place... then got around to correcting his mistake...

I can only be as accurate as NFL.com will let me be; given that they ARE the "official" website for the NFL, is it really so silly of me to take them at their word??

Now, tell me again how the Cowboys are hosed because they got stuck with Kyle Kosier instead of Larry Allen this year, even though the Cowboys are putting up significantly better offensive numbers this time around...

Then, tell me again how Larry ran a 5.6 coming out of college... LOL...

The one where running in the playoffs, on the road, in a do or die game defines a team's ability to run, not a week 15 game against a scrub.

you think allen ran a 5.6 coming out of college and now runs a 4.8. Come on man, you are defeating yourself. And again, if he runs a 4.8 now, please tell me again how he is one of the slowest gurards of all time?

My bad, I meant a 5.8, but the point still stands
