So how many guards go? NFL.com's list is "supposedly" complete, but lists just two guards. I'm assuming it's an omission on their part.

He's a reserve... which means he doesn't actually MAKE the pro bowl unless someone else drops out. But if everything stays as is, then he isn't considered a pro bowler.

Larry Allen was great, but the guy has no lateral movement now and all he does is lean his weight around.

That's not a true statement. I watched the 49ers/CHawks game a few nights ago.

Larry has excellent movement, especially on pulls.

He's not the fastest player out there, but can still "bust your arse" when he wants to.


Unless he's injured, etc....I'd expect Larry to play at least 2 more seasons.

I think it's a typo, though, since the NFC only has 2 guards and the AFC has 3

I saw him too, they used him like crazy and he can't take that many reps anymore, he wasn't worth a damn in the fourth quarter he missed several blocks but Gore is so outstanding a runner that it didn't matter. He also proved a great decoy on the Niners final touchdown, they pulled him and then ran through the hole he vacated after having trained the Seattle defense to flow toward Allen.

Yep, and I can almost gurantee you that Frank Gore, a stud in his own right would agree with that.
