Hardy was convicted in his bench trial; upon his appeal the DA was prepared to take it to trial only to have his star witness fail to turn up ...but I'm the one making "poorly informed judgements".

Ok, chief. Whatever you say.

The evidence suggests that "chief" nailed it:

Victims and witnesses routinely stop cooperating in domestic-abuse cases and prosecutors still take the cases to court. [District Attorney] Murray, though, said the Hardy case was different. He also appeared to raise doubts about Holder’s credibility in a statement to the judge.

So you ignore the new -to you- information and double down. Nice.

Which part of "I think that would fall under the "inconsistencies that troubled the first judge"" did you fail to understand? Or did you simply not bother to read my earlier posts?

What have I marginalized? Violence against women is a real issue, and numbers out there prove that. It is very possible that Hardy is in fact the victim in this case, but not likely considering these numbers. That being said, not once have I pointed a finger at Hardy or the woman--as so many here have.
To login to this forum, all I see is posts about how the woman lied, the judge didn't listen, she's only after his money etc. Instead of a real discussion over what's happened. I've seen very little to.nothing on the woman's perspective on here. All we know is that the charges are dropped and that's it. But what I see on the forum is a very one sided perspective--the male's perspective

If that is all you see then you are not paying attention and you have particularly not been paying attention for the past couple of weeks.

That is not all we know either. This discussion is pointless. People are more emotional than rational on this subject.

That guy was slightly busy holding back an enraged, coked up woman.
Did you not read the 9/11 transcript?

I did - he said she is on coke or drunk... Who knows what exactly happened? Its all he said she said at this point. My point is - anyone could of taken a video of this and solved the issue :).

I agree . I also know based on experience we don't know if he is or not....I would lean towards not.At the most to a drunken situation that got out of hand. But since I don't have the full file setting on my desk I don't know. And to make my statement clear,I am only interested in the physical evidence. A true statement from one of my mentors.Witnesses can lie, lawyers can lie, judges can lie BUT the evidence never lies.
.

Agreed..

Just not enough evidence to take a firm stance either way.

If he is innocent then it must really suck to hear your name dragged through the mud like it has been.

Maybe. We'll never know. Nothing to do with you, but I'm no longer interested in this topic on this player at this moment.

The inconsistencies never troubled the first judge. it troubled the prosecutor when he became aware of it. The first judge interrupted Hardy's account, denounced and sentenced him saying she believed her. It was also on the eve of an election cycle after which she gave a public message to 'the citizens of charlotte.' you do seem aware that it was in lieu of a grand jury hearing and functioned as such at least with the verdict automatically set aside.

Probably because that's not logic but bias

How exactly is it bias?

You come into this discussion where most people have been surprised to read the actual details of the events. Most have said that they really don't know what happened. You say this place is full of men who are only giving the mans perspective of this. You come across like you are the moral authority and the rest of us are bias, woman hating cavemen. Your words really do show that you have been the one who is bias and assumptive.

We are cowboys fans who have decided to look a little deeper into the publicly available facts surrounding the case. We have decided to see if this guy who we all have been led to believe was a monster who "Beat" a woman was a person we wanted on our team. When many of us read the facts we became concerned that someone could be labeled and convicted of being a monster by the media and legal system when the "facts" we were able to read did not clearly say that this was warranted.

Maybe you live in a clean perfect world where people are never accused of doing things they didn't do. We all have different backgrounds. We have all experienced different realities. You can choose to say that hardy is not the victim....I will choose to say that I don't know what happened and based on the facts its concerning that a man could be found guilty and labeled a monster with such little proof.

The male's perspective?
Well when you login to a Dallas Cowboys forum what perspective were you expecting to find? Sure we have some great female posters also. The large majority of posters are men so why get so upset with reading the male perspective.

We have discussed and want to continue to discuss what happened in this case.

Could you post the link to that? It lines up exactly with everything else I've read but I haven't seen that in print before. Thanks.

On the flip side, his 911 call seemed a bit staged with and intent to show that Hardy was not touching her, only his manager was holding her back. Now this does not really indicate that he did or didn't do anything to her beforehand, only that he probably realized that he was going to be in trouble when she told her story to police regardless of whether it was true or not.
I just now heard it on TheFan. It didn't really sound staged to me. He was nervous and having called 911 once myself I know the feeling. You don't really know what to say. I'm sure I sounded like an idiot. (My mom was babysitting my brother's twin nephews - infants at his house and one stopped breathing. Man was I nervous. They took him outside (and later to the hospital) and he ended up being ok. But ended up having seizures a couple of times through his childhood.

Yall need to pay more attention to what I post:D
I posted that several times. He called 911. If he beat the crap out of her as she claims why would he bring the heat on himself?
She had done this once before to another high profile person. She figured out how to make easy money to support her coke habit.
Where's the police photos of all her injuries?

IMOP he asked his attorneys how much time, effort and money would be involved in proving her wrong and decided it was cheaper and way easier
to give her some cash and call it a day. Insurance companies do it all the time.

If she's such bad news, what was he doing with her? If he's such a great guy, what's he doing with a coke-head? Just like mom always said, "You're judged by the company that you keep". Quality people don't go slumming. They hang with other quality people. Just saying.

He broke up with her earlier that year, but just like the kid that was murdered by Jodi Arias. He had a difficult time letting go when she showed up for booty calls. Listening to the wrong brain. Typical dude.

"There were inconsistencies that troubled first judge in the July bench trial." is a direct quote from the article linked above. Take it up with them.
