Didn't he also miss parts of both years due to injury? He does have the skills to give a look. I think if Grier gets picked up...it will be to a PS.

Funny, he picked up his game after the trade, similar to people all of a sudden playing out of the minds in a contract year.

I've got him going to ours. I just think most teams have No. 2s more consistently better than him and QBs they want to see if they can develop as No. 3s.

We tend to overvalue our players. For example, I thought it was a mistake to cut Ben DiNucci last year after he had a good preseason and felt that someone would claim him. Nobody did, including us. He had to go to the XFL to earn another shot at the NFL.

He earned a shot in the USFL...that is what tonight did. This doesn't move the needle going against defenders that 80% of them won't be in the league on Wednesday.

Yes, so true. You are so right about the Jones Boys - LOL, I would not be surprised to see Rush cut too. Honestly, I can't imagine anything they do would be surprising anymore, lol.

Is it possible Dallas trades Grier for a low round pick because a NFL team won't get him due to order teams get waived players.

That makes a huge difference.

I hope they let Dak run a good bit more this year. That has been a big difference from rookie Dak, who ran a decent amount. He is a much better passer now… keeping drives alive with his legs will make the offense very difficult to stop, IMO.

We should keep him and cut Rush - Grier has way more upside than Rush ever will. If the D isn’t playing lights out then Rush isn’t good enough to win.

Do you realize Grier won't get a backup job in the NFL? What makes you think he should get one in Dallas?

It's called waivers and if a team likes what they saw tonight we can trade him instead of getting nothing in return.
